Perfect bag. Great for airport travel. Fit's Macbook Air 11.6".
I was preparing for a trip overseas and needed a new bag. I checked out a number of different sling bags before settling on this one. It ended up being an excellent choice. I really like traveling light so wanted something relatively small and slim (but also with a practical amount of space) as my "personal item" for airplane travel. I also was looking specifically for something that fit my computer (Macbook Air 11.6") but didn't overdo it (again, I like to travel light and have an intentionally compact computer because of that. Most computer bags are just overkill for a Macbook Air). This bag was perfect! You can stuff quite a bit into it if you want to, but even with a decent amount in tow it keeps a slim profile. It is just the right size for the Macbook Air 11.6". In the main/largest compartment there is a pocket with an elastic top that is the full width and about half the length of the bag. The Macbook fits in their perfectly and is just the right length for the bag to be able to zip (if the bag was a little shorter or the taper a little narrower, it wouldn't fit, so anything bigger than the 11.6" Air would be a no go. My guess is that the new 12" Macbook would fit too though I haven't tried it). The different compartments and pockets are great. In the main area it is just one big space with the pocket I mentioned. This pocket I use for the computer is not padded and only covers about half the macbook, so you might need to be careful about what else you put in there with a computer. The back of the bag (between the computer and your back) is lightly padded, so that's good. The middle compartment also has ample space and includes some smaller pockets for things like pens, phone, iPod, etc. The third/exterior compartment is small and perfect for smaller odds and ends that you want to be able to grab quickly (I kept things like headphones, chapstick, etc in there). In addition there is a mesh pocket on the side as you can see in the pictures where you can keep a water bottle or umbrella. I used it for a water bottle and it was very handy. There's a drawstring on it to tighten if needed. There's also a small pocket on the strap that goes across your chest. I don't know if it's intended for a phone, but I have an iPhone 6 and it wasn't even close to fitting. This is a small inconspicuous pocket basically in the seam of the strap, so I found it perfect for keeping cash, credit card, etc. There's also a loop to hang your sunglasses from on the front of the strap (surprisingly useful). The key feature of this bag for me though was the hidden pocket in the back. You can kind of get a look at it in one of the pictures. Basically there is a pocket built into the back panel of the bag, accessed by a zipper along the side seam (opposite side from the mess pocket). When you're wearing the bag, the pocket is unnoticeable and pretty unaccessible (unless you're really not paying attention and someone is a very skilled pickpocket). The size of the pocket is great for passports, checkbooks, cash, etc. , even a thin smartphone worked well in there (flat stuff works well in this pocket since it's in the back panel. you wouldn't want to stick anything thick or bulky in there as it would probably make the bag sit awkwardly on your back). For airport travel this was perfect because you could stow passport, boarding passes, etc. in here and then if you have it strapped over your right shoulder (the strap is swappable between left and right), you can easily and quickly rotate the bag around under your left arm to your chest and you're then looking directly down onto this hidden side pocket. Honestly, this was sheer perfection. This pocket made this bag awesome for airport travel. In addition, the clip to disconnect the strap was great as it allowed removing the bag quickly when pulling it up over my head would have been inconvenient. It was awesome for air travel and then throughout my trip with several daylong tourist excursions, it made an excellent day bag. Very satisfied with this bag. I don't really ever write reviews for things, but I'm doing it because this bag is just that great.

The best sling bag for my needs, it's an awesome product.
Oh my, I absolutely love this sling pack. I just returned from a seven day vacation to see my mother, I used this bag as my personal item on the plane. I was able to get an ten x ten inch adult coloring book, a regular magazine (Writers Digest), an eight.five x six inch note book and a write your own comic book into the third pocket in the front as well as as a 10.1 inch Samsung Galaxy Note (2013). There is a lined tablet pocket on the back of the third pocket, the 10.1 inch tablet fits here. In the middle pocket I put a 7 inch Kindle fire (2015) tablet, there is also a lined pocket in this middle section for a tablet but it is considerably smaller than the third pocket's tablet pocket. Here I also put an external battery pack, my pencil case with around 25 pencils, markers and pens as well as some snacks. There is also a phone pocket that holds an iPhone 6 with a Otter box wallet case on it. There are three pen pockets where I had my stylus (it's about the size of sharpie) that fit perfectly. In the outside front pocket, I put in a small pack of kleenex, lip balm and my favorite pen as well as small note book 3x2 that keeps all my thoughts. The water bottle holder is awesome as it keeps up to a 24 oz steel bottle in it with a cinch cord and hold it's tight. On the back of the pack is half pocket that length wise runs almost the entire pack side but is only 1/2 as wide as the other pockets. It's a great place to keep a wallet, boarding passes, tickets, passport or other important documents. It's always against the wearers back, almost impossible to "steal" from. There is also a pocket on the strap that can hold and has held in my case two credit cards and cash. This pocket is not visible unless you are looking for it. This bag is just incredible, if you like to wear the bag on the left shoulder or right, there is a way to adjust the back strap for length as well as adjustable for which shoulder you want to wear it on. When packed full as on my vacation, it was quite heavy. However because of the balance of the bag on one shoulder it did not feel as heavy as other bags might. It can also be worn in the front as a chest bag, easy to swing around to get to the hidden pocket on the back. It's a very nice bag and one I continue to use every day as my carry all. This bag is nicely constructed, good seams, all attached lift handles and strap are connected expertly. It's made of nice water resistant canvas, it's not water proof but in a rain storm it will repel water for a short time. The zippers are heavy duty feel like they won't break over time. I believe this bag will last me a great amount of time even with daily use. It's wonderfully made, no loose strings or breaking zippers. It took a lot of abuse just on my seven day vacation. However it's still going strong. I got one dirty spot on it while traveling, it came clean with a wet sponge and water only. Dried quickly never getting the inside contents wet. I have been looking for the perfect sling bag for awhile now (around five years) and every time I got one, I was disappointed in some way shape or form. This bag however, is perfect and I have not need to change anything on it. I will be using it every day until it falls apart. I am in love with this bag and it's versatility. I highly recommend this product and it's worth every penny.

Great Grab and go Bag
I bought this OutdoorMaster Sling Bag as an Amazon Prime deal that put the price at about $16. At that price I would recommend it no problem. For the everyday price I see it listed at (around $22-$23) I would still recommend it but I would also say there are better sling bags in that range. It is a little small for the price point and although it does feel like it will last at least a few years, I have not owned it long enough to say for sure. What I do know: It is not a bad bag. The quality of the materials are good for the money. The stitching is strong and the zippers operate smoothly without issues. I bought it in blue and although it is darker than I expected it does look sharp and I am happy with the color. The size is good for my normal daily use as a grab and go bag I take with me to work. I use a few different sling bags and transfer the contents between them. I keep an iPad pro (2017 model) inside along with a dual charger, a few charging cables for various devices, a pair of wired earphones, a travel sized bottle of hand sanitizer, and a small bottle of aspirin. The OutdoorMaster holds the items the same as the other sling bags I use only with less room left to spare. It has a small, almost hidden zipper pocket on the back that I like. It would work well for a passport or small wallet. There is another even smaller zipper pocket hidden in the sling but it is too small to be of much use to me. Maybe for a place to put taxi money while traveling or a hotel room key. The sling can easily be positioned to wear on the left shoulder or the right and is nicely padded. There is additional padding on the back of the bag as well. The outside pocket for a water bottle works well and the pull closure that keeps the bottle in place is a nice touch. The hardware on the bag may or may not be metal. I can not say for sure as they have the look and feel of metal but are not magnetic. Maybe a coated brass or aluminum. They do look good and compliment the design of the sling bag. I use a sling bag almost everyday but I have several in different colors. I do not use the OutdoorMaster Sling Bag as much as others but when I do use it, I have no complaints.

Makes a great diaper bag for a busy mom of two boys
I purchased this backpack as a diaper bag shortly before my second son was born. I had been gifted diaper bags with my first son but I often ended up putting them down in order to care for my son. The bags were either falling off my shoulder or too heavy/uncomfortable to carry very long comfortably. My toddler is a very busy little guy and I'm chasing after him a lot. I wanted a bag that could hold what I needed and was easy to carry no matter the situation. I love that this bag holds what I need for a day trip and is easy to get into with one hand. I can wear it comfortably for hours on my back. This means that when my husband comes to me and asks "do you have a baby wipes," I have one right there and don't have to remember where I put my bag down last. There is a small zipper against your back (while wearing) that is perfect for wallet, phone, and keys. Those are the items I reach for the most when I am the busiest. It also keeps those items safe because the zipper isn't visible while wearing. The rest of the zippers I can reach with one hand (with practice) while wearing or I can swing the bag to the front of me and I can reach them easier. There is a bottle holder on the side that I most often use for bottles of water for me. I can reach this with one hand while wearing the bag as well. The bag is easy to keep clean. So far I've been able to just wipe off what has been spilled on it. I also feel like it has a good number of pockets to store items to where it’s not too confusing when it comes time to find items. I’ve had a diaper bag with lots of pockets and I always felt like I had to search way to long when trying to help an upset baby. Here are the items I am able to carry easily with this bag: 3-5 small diaper for baby 2 diapers for toddler Diaper cream Package of wipes Nursing cover 2 backup outfits for baby (or one for baby one for toddler) 2 snack items (like fruit snacks and applesauce) 2 burp clothes Infant Tylenol Infant Gas Drops Backup pair of nursing pads Pen Wallet Phone Car keys Several travel antibacterial wipe packages Toddler silverware Bottle of water It is so nice to chase after my toddler while holding the baby. No matter the situation so far, I’ve been able to carry the basic items we need and have them at an arms reach. I wish I had had this bag when my first son was born.

I LOVE everything about this bag. Got for my husband, and am now ordering myself one, too.
UPDATE: 8/10/20 My husband has been carrying this every single day to and from work and wherever else we may go since we bought it 2yrs ago. It's pretty packed full and stuffed most of time, too. I am amazed that everything still works great, and that the bag does not look worn out, which is crazy to me. The zippers are perfect, and all of the features are still intact with no ripping. This is actually one of our favorite finds on here, because it's something that's actually had a positive impact on our daily lives. I use mine for long days or trips, but still love my designer bags. 🤷♀️ REVIEW: Let me start by saying that I bought this for my husband to take on our trip in a couple of days, and it is so nice that I'm ordering myself one to use daily, which is saying something because I am kind of a designer bag snob, to be honest. PROS: This thing has so many different pockets. I took a picture of my water bottle, which fit in every single pocket except the little pocket on the strap, which fit a pack of tic tacs and a credit card. (This pocket would be good for cash). All of the other pockets fit the water bottle with room to spare. Even the small one in the front, and the flatter pocket in the back all fit the water bottle with ease. Hopefully, this gives you an idea of the sizing on these smaller, (not too small) pockets. The largest main pocket is pretty roomy. It also has a tablet or notebook sleeve in this section and you can fit a lot in here. The strap adjusts to fit petite to plus size, and the hardware hook and loop that clips the strap to the bag, are both made of metal now. I seen a review where the clip part was plastic, but they must have updated this feature. The bag also has a plastic snap away buckle right where it hits your chest. This type of material is good in this area, so that it lays flat and doesn't mess with your jewelry, etc. It also allows you to easily unsnap this to take the bag off, or to put the bag on if you don't want to put it over your head. I am pretty impressed by all of these features. COMFORT: It's very comfortable, too. This is the thing I'm most excited about and is the real reason I'm buying one for myself. I can hardly tell I'm wearing this, and I feel like it's better on my back and hips when carrying this vs. my usually heavy and awkward hand bags. Also, I wear the 2 necklaces that you can see in my pic 24/7, 365 days a year, and this strap didn't seem to bother them. Time may tell with this, but as far as I can tell so far, this works well with my jewelry. It would be a no go for me if not. CONS: So far the only negative I can even think of is that I wish the tiny pocket on the strap was a little longer. That way it could fit a pen or pencil. Personally, that's not a big concern for me, however, it would be an added touch. I definitely recommend this bag. It's larger than most, but not as big as a regular bookbag, which is exactly what we were looking for. I shopped for quite some time before deciding on this item, and I am very pleased. I will update after our trip with any changes or additional information.

LOVE this bag!!!!!
Super Pleased with this purchase! If you are debating about buying, buy it! I hate purses, I hate them. I don't like a hanging bags clanking against my leg or uncomfortably weigh me down on one side. A backpack is too big and bulky. I have a Kavu sling and is super comfortable but while it has more of a variety of colors, the utility, size, and quality of the OutdoorMaster Sling exceeds in every way, It also can swap arms, where the Kavu can't. I like this bag over the Kavu mostly because of the the pocket set up, the water bottle holder, and how much closer it hugs my body. It even has a small pocket on the arm strap that I will often fold up cash into so I don't have to go digging for my wallet. Speaking of money, the OutdoorMaster is half the price of a Kavu bag! I work at a videogame company with over 20 some odd buildings and when I go to a meeting across campus, I want to get there quickly without lugging an uncomfortable purse and I have a lot of crap. It fits my tablet (ipad pro with the zagg bluetooth keyboard case, that's bulkier than most table keyboard/cases), apple pencil, a small hardback notebook, a pen, my makeup (eyeliner, eyebrow liner, lipstick, mascara, compact, and tweezers) my wallet, keys, sunglasses, cellphone, my tablet and cellphone chargers, a power bank (Anker 20000mAh also larger than most standard power banks) a water bottle, doggy bags (yup my dog comes with me to work), a tennis ball, and my vape (sigelei fuchai mod and cloud beast.) This fits all that and still has space for probably a small flashlight (if you want to use this for hiking) I use a carabiner to clip my dogs leash to the ring where the arm strap connects so even she's hands free =P It's durable for hiking for sure, but I love it for daily wear and its perfect for my lifestyle. I get both men and women complimenting me on it so if you are worried it isn't feminine/masculine enough, its perfectly unisex. OutdoorMaster, please make this in more colors, even black with a more zipper color options, I would buy them ^_^ or even one that's slightly smaller bag without a water bottle holder, that would be perfect for maneuvering through crowds at a music festival or Vegas.

Great purchase
Just got this bag a few days ago and I really love it, so this is really a 4.5 star review. The padded strap makes it very comfortable to wear. I love that I can switch the strap to be worn over either shoulder. The only things keeping it from being a solid five-star item are: (1) the pull that loosens the strap moves all the way to the end whenever I put it on and won’t stay no matter what, and (2) a minor thing but I’d have preferred the zipper of the smallest compartment to match the rest of the bag or at least a neutral color instead of red. Overall I’d recommend this bag to anyone due to its comfort and capacity. I’ve had sling bags before and this one is very generous in size. Yes, it will comfortably fit an iPad and my bujo and all the other smaller things I carry. The small strap for my sunglasses right in the front is handy. I added a carabiner to the top strap to clip my mask and hand sanitizer when leaving home. Love that this bag allows my hands to be free and doesn’t swivel or move around once I’m wearing it. UPDATE, March 2021 I've now been using this bag for a couple months and it's held up very well so I'm upping my rating to a full 5 stars. I also own a Kavu bag and this bag by Outdoor Master is not only more comfortable to wear, it also holds more, costs less, and the shoulder strap is not just padded but can also be alternated between sides. Not knocking the Kavu, which is a good bag. But for comparison's sake, this one is the overall winner. My husband is now the proud owner of my original black bag because he liked it so much. I bought another in the Mocha Brown color, which at this time appears out of stock /discontinued. I plan to get a third bag in a different color simply so I can rotate them. By the way, my Mocha bag doesn't have the issue with the strap noted in my original review. Great for travel or simply errands. A must if you have kids because it allows you to be completely hands free. Highly recommend!

Very nice bag, but quite a bit smaller than given dimensions.
The bag is very nice! The color is true to the pics and it looks like it'd be nice and sturdy. Unfortunately the given dimensions in the photos and description provided are wrong on the height of the bag, which due to the shape of the bag is kind of the most important dimension to know to be able to predict if your stuff will fit inside. In the description above, and in the photo that has dimensions on it, the height is given as 17.9 inches. The picture is very vague about what point it's measuring from on the top, but looks like it's somewhere between where the teal canvas ends and the black nylon hanging loop? So I measured, using the bottom seam as the starting point. As shown in my first pic, the bag itself, like the teal canvas part, is about 14.5 inches tall. Even if you include the black hanging loop, which is really stupid to include but I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, it's still only about 17 inches. And both measurements include the skinny part of the canvas up top, which isn't wide enough to really add any meaningful space inside. So it didn't fit what I hoped it would fit. And so I gotta send it back. Bummer.
