One cup rice and two cups water. Be sure to clean the rice first! After that, about 12 minutes in your standard microwave and you should be in good shape.

How many cups of rice (white) can you make?

I use 1 cup rice with 2 cups water and it yields about 3 cups of cooked rice. I love this microwave rice cooker! I usually cook mine on high for about 12 minutes.

Will this fit inside a small amazon basics microwave?

This is a great microwave rice cooker. I have use the large one to cook rice multiple times and the rice always turns out fluffy. The small one is great for reheating food, especially having the top air vent. The large one is approximately 7" high and 8" wide. The small one is approximately 4" high and 6" wide.

how many total cups of rice does it make?

I only make 2 cups (uncooked) at a time usually and it fills about halfway. I've never measured the rice after it's cooked ... hope that helps
