In an age of plunder and greed, the richest gold strike in American History draws a throng of restless misfits to an outlaw settlement where everything--and everyone--has a price. Welcome to Deadwood...a hell of a place to make your fortune. Review: Incredible series - Well worth the price and worth the time. It is tough to say what is a real or counterfeit package these days but this one looked official and more importantly played the way it should. Three disks per season. Review: Buy It - One of the greatest f****** shows ever. Definitely not for the squeamish, or those sensitive to an absolutely brutal use of the English language. But it is a beautiful language to hear (and learn; I highly recommend the subtitles for sure when starting out, or it will all sound like pure gibberish initially as you get accustomed). It is also one of the most powerful exorcisms of humanity's dark side ever put on film, all right there staring back at you from start to finish. There are scenes in this show that are so heartbreaking, so heartwarming, tear jerking, and profound (looking at you, Preacher), which you will never forget. And others that will make you feel disgusted and ashamed for living in this world as a human being, which you'll wish you'd never seen (looking at you, "Geologist"). You'll want to tell all of your friends it's the greatest show ever and that they should really watch it. Just know that it's like telling someone to go read Ulysses, or listen to Trout Mask Replica. They just might see it, and you both may "get it" and absolutely adore it, but how do you really describe it to anyone? What makes it so great? You could write a dissertation on it's themes, it's characters, it's story-arcs, it's socio-economic implications. The most you can really do with a friend is quote it endlessly (some of the phrases are great while driving angrily in traffic) and appreciate it for what it is. A powerful work of art with a golden soul. David Milch is a genius of the slow-burn, tension-building storyline and I'm just happy he was able to do what he did with it, while he could still do it (The movie is a must-see after finishing the show, as it will probably be the last thing he ever writes), but I'll always wish for more each time I finish. Deadwood will never be forgotten. Bottomline: Just buy the f****** show you l*****d*** c***s*****, you'll love it forever.

Excelente.

The wild west
This TV series is about how life was back in the early days of Deadwood before it becomes part of the new state of South Dakota. If you can get past the swear words, you will see how the lives of the people intertwine and clash. There is serious moments but there is a lot of humor in it. You find out one of the respected and tough guys in the series really has a soft heart for others. I do say it is a very enjoyable series. Even with the film that came out later; I wish there was more to see. A lot of story is based on real people.
