The Chinese really developed a really good reel, very light weight, made from aluminum and exceptionally smooth reeling. Recommend using braided line, so that you can put about 150-200 yards, I'm using 30 lb test and much more stronger than mono line.

I don’t have much experience with many reels, especially nice ones- but this is the most expensive one I’ve used so far for this 10lb setup I’m running for local freshwater this season. I’m using the rod off a $10 zebco slingshot combo but I took the crappy reel off in exchange for a $20 black and white Walmart Spear brand reel that, after a few catches over a couple months started to make a nasty noise when reeling retrieve. This is my replacement for that Spear brand reel, I saw many other good reviews for this reel and man does this reel feel much more quality. The construction just screams higher quality in many aspects, the finish looks and feels nicer, handle is much more larger and comfortable, smooth quiet bearings with minimal play, drag noise sounds nice and metallic and the knob gives a very adjustable weight range with smaller incremental changes, and I’ve taken a great liking to the springy instead of loose bail action. Spinner reels have been much more easier to use as I’m just getting into fishing, and this one is no exception. I ordered this reel at like 2 AM today 9/6/24, slept and while I was working it showed up at 2pm, I setup and caught a fish on it today right after dinner- and am writing this review the same night! Honestly great job to everyone involved from production to delivery 👍 couldn’t be more satisfied

For the money I don't think these can be beat. Metal Spools is a mega plus. The design looks cool. The retrieves are smooth. I bought a 1000 and a 4000 size. Both do the job for most freshwater fishing. Bass, Pickerel, Pike, Walleye, Trout, Crappies, panfish, small catfish species like Yellow Brown Black Bullheads etc. BIG FISH, like big carp or flat head, channel & blue catfish however the 4000 is undersized so be aware of the type of fish you're going for. Overall this reel has held up real nice this year. I see little to no difference between it and some of my older Daiwa, Shimano, and Shakespeare Reels.

Hello! This was my mothers day gift and I ABSOLUTELY love it! I have never used the open faced reels for fishing but my push button reel needed to be retired lol This reel is so easy to use, its light weight and it cast's so smooth! The quality is great and it came at an even better price! I will definitely order my upgrade from here when its needed but the reel is pretty durable so it may be a while lol.

Nice smooth reel the first one I ordered was delivered broken, it was separated at the bale/bail. I returned that one and replaced it with the same. I’ve used most in saltwater and it still works great. I just make sure that I wash it thoroughly after each use.

I bought this for river salmon fishing on my 13.6 noodle rod. Its been fantastic. Looks really nice and so far has worked flawlessly. I've caught several fish in the 15-20lb range without issue.
