Perfect fit easy to use and comes with extra batteries. 1 thing to know when I loaded it into the chamber I slowly closed the slide and the dot laser was way off. But know my gun and that was wrong, so I removed the laser Boresighter and put it back in and let the slide close as I would after putting in a new magazine and it was dead on with my sights.

Simple: unpack, load the batteries, chamber the bore laser, and align your optics. Took me less than 15 minutes. Range results were true at 25 and 50 meters. Can’t get better than that. Will buy again.

Somehow, I had the impression that this thing would fire the laser when the hammer impacted it. In stead, the laser is always on. So if you want to know how you could use a laser sight, this is a great way to see how that would work.

As per most of the other 1 star reviews of this product, it is very inaccurate. Will spare the you the bitter rant but advise you that it seems most of these laser bore sights of a .45 are not accurate. I had purchased a similar one a while ago and it proved to be similarly inaccurate. This "fact" was confirmed upon visiting a gunsmith and discussing this with him. This particular gunsmith had installed the TruGlo tritium sights on my .45 originally and I was told that the inexpensive bore sights either may not have the correct machining or the laser is actually not centered -- or both. He advised that using a micrometer to center the rear sight (the front sight blade was fixed and pinned) and sighting in by firing rounds through the pistol was the most efficacious option. I have done as advised and the results are what you might expect for an old codger with semi-shaky hands and declining vision. However, while I won't win any pistol sharpshooting championships, I am confident that with the groups I shoot at 7-21 feet, I will ruin any unwanted home invaders' weekends.

Works great. Using this I was able to set my scope as well as my scope laser. Really cut down on the hassle of sighting. (As well as saving a lot of ammo LOL)

I had a Charles Daly 1911 commander which I added LE grips to and used this to site it in. I have recently acquired a new 1911 and added the same grips to it. I looked for my bore laser but as I've been known to do I misplaced it and couldn't find it. Fortunately this item is reasonably priced so I picked up a new one and have sighted in my new Magnum Research 1911 Commander. All I have left to do is test it so I can't comment on accuracy just yet but I'll stop back once it's fully sighted in. I'm expecting similar results to my first encounter with this bore laser.

I have a number of MidTen Laser Bore Sights and this is the only one that has not performed flawlessly! I tested this 45 ACP laser bore sight by marking the rear of the casing and rotating it in the chamber thru 90 degree intervals and sighting it at 10 ft. It performed consistently through the entire rotation. This bore sight is perfectly centered in and of itself. Unfortunately it wouldn't properly chamber in my S&W Shield 45. It always hit 3-1/2" to the right of center regardless of how I rotated the casing in the chamber... indicating that for some reason inherent in my pistol the bore sight was canted to the right in the chamber. I've noticed in reading other reviews of several brands of laser bore sights, that inability to properly chamber is very common in caliber 45ACP... I've yet to find any brand where this is not a documented problem in 45ACP. As noted previously, all my other MidTen Bore Sights in other calibers have performed flawlessly! Back to the drawing board for 45 ACP !
