Brilliance Glass Storage 4.7-Cup Food Containers with Lids Set of 3 Clear

Be very careful with Rubbermaid if you are seeking to buy glass, they have these in plastic as well and I had to cancel them because I wanted the one that were glass. Great product, the lids are great, you hear the air go in and out depending one putting on the lids or taking them off. Seals work, they do not leak. The sizes are ok, wish they had more of these in different sizes but Rubbermaid does not have any more round storage containers and that is a shame, I love the fact they are great value for the money because the reality is they will last for years to come. Durable and safe, have not chipped or cracked from refrigerator, dishwasher or freezer so far. They do work for stacking and are dishwasher safe. I put them on the top shelf of my dishwasher and the big one on the bottom. I fully recommend using them and buying them. I don't label but you can label them because the glass is thick and study, I wouldn't recommend labeling the lids because they are not glass and I do not know what the plastic is they are using on it but I don't believe it would be easy to remove.

I wanted to get away from the plastic containers and go with glass. The trade-off is glass containers will be heavier. But we’re good with that. Pros: * Seals tight. I filled them all up with water and turn them upside down and none of them leaked. * Durable. While we wash the glass in the dishwasher, we still choose to wash the tops by hand even though they say they are dishwasher safe. Unlike some brands, these tops appear very durable. Looks like this set will last for many years. * Interchangeable tops. Several of the sizes use the same tops. * Stackable. This style stacks better than any that we’ve had before. I really like the rectangle sizes. They Stack in the cabinets or refrigerator more efficiently than our old round ones. They also fit perfectly in our lunch box for work. * Sizes. Everyone’s needs are different but these particular sizes meet our needs perfectly. No itty-bitty containers. Perfect sizes for leftovers and lunches. Cons: * Price. I did not go looking for other options to see if this set was significantly cheaper elsewhere. But they do appear a bit pricey. * My issue was trying to find the sizes of the containers that are included in this nine piece set (9 containers with 9 tops). So below is what we received: 1 (8 cup) @ 11-1/2” x 7-1/2” x 2-3/4” tall 1 (4.7 cup) @ 8” x 5-1/4” x 3-1/2” tall 2 (3.2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2-1/2” tall 2 (2 cups) @ 8” x 5-14” x 2” tall 3 (1.3 cups) @ 5-3/4” x 3-3/4” x 2-3/4” tall After using this set for a few more months, we will see what sizes we use most and supplement it with more of the same brand of containers. We like doing our food prep over the weekends and this style is perfect for our needs. They do keep our food fresher for a longer period of time due to the tight seal. Plus we like not having our food in plastic due to all the health concerns (especially when we warm up our food in the microwave). Hope this helps you.

I started with the large assortment and quickly found that the piece I used most, the 4.7 size cup for lunch salads, was the one I used most. Only one was supplied so I added 3 more. I got addicted to the glass pretty quickly and realized I needed more so I bought the set with 3.2 size. Now I’m contemplating getting rid of all my old plastic containers, going glass only and buying the full set again. What I particularly like: The ability to add on. Stackable Air tight covers Thick glass Versatile sizes that stack well in the frig. What I’m not as happy about: I think the price is a bit high, but obviously I’ve been willing to pay it. Think they should have added one more 4.7 size container in the original. Although the air tight cover is great they can be a bear to remove. Like other reviewers I generally like to wash the covers by hand unless very dirty. They seem durable but covers are often the first to go. I haven’t noticed any food getting trapped in the covers causing discoloration. They’re well made. You can see how well they stack in my frig. FYI!!!!! Do not order this used!! I decided I wanted another set and thought I’d try a used one. It came incomplete, so poorly packaged that pieces were chipped. You could hear them rattling around in the box. It also said, Amazon inspected on the outside. What a joke.

Our older Rubbermaid glass food storage containers seem to no longer be available, I assume a discontinued product. I wanted a few more of the large glass containers, since I only had 2. I found these and thought they were the perfect size. My husband loves using these and they store better than the other older set we have. Plus he likes the lids for these too. Quality seems great! I haven’t tested if the seal is leak-proof, but the lid closure clamps work well. I may eventually get the other set with the various sizes they have available to replace the older glass containers we have so everything can fit more easily in our cabinet.

Bought these glass storage containers to replace old Tupperware. These are great ! Love the suction lids! Easy to clean or place in the dishwasher. No worries about plastic leaching into the food. Reasonably priced.

My first impression is that this set is just ok. I like the glass vs plastic containers but worry about them chipping. They are also fairly heavy. Hopefully that is a sign that they won’t chip easily. The lids are supposed to be BPA, BPS free and hold up well after many washes (even in the dishwasher on the top rack). I question how long they will last because they are super thin. The disparity between the thickness of the glass container and the lid is significant. I can understand why so many people have mentioned the lids crack easily. I’m worried that Rubbermaid does not sell just lids at this time and I won’t be able to easily replace a broken lid. They close very securely! It’s almost challenging to get the lids off. I have not cooked anything in these yet.

These containers are very well made and feel solid and durable. The glass is nice and thick, which makes them great for storing leftovers, meal prep, or vegetables without worrying about cracking or staining. I really like that they’re clear glass, so it’s easy to see what’s inside at a glance. They seal extremely well and are truly leak-proof, which makes them great for storing food in the fridge or transporting meals without mess. The lids fit securely and snap into place with confidence. Brilliantly designed! These are perfect in so many ways: 1) They are only rectangular in shape. Circular food storage containers just waste space, and having a mix has always bugged me. 2) The heavy-duty glass does not produce shards of glass like other food storage snap glass brands I have used. 3) The lid is amazing. Many snap lids from other manufacturers have creased folds in the plastic. These creased folds are DESIGNED to fail. Rubbermaid took a different road and made the snaps from a different plastic piece altogether. 4) The handles of the glass do not get hot, even after a long time in the microwave. They also make it very easy to transport security. 5) The lid is microwave safe and won't get stained by tomatoes 6) There are only 3 lid sizes; this makes it super easy to find the right lid for your container 7) Water-tight/fantastic seal 8) Unlike the food storage containers with creased lid tabs, these tabs do not get stuck in the grooves of the dishwasher. 9) They fit so nicely in the fridge, sitting on top of each other. Very minor cons: 1) They don't have a divided glass storage container (They only make plastic ones) 2) Wished they had a 1/2 cup container 3) Wished they had a 9, 10, or 12 cup container 4) Wished they had a 6-cup container 5) They could have flared the glass ever-so-slightly more so that it stacked a little more compactly (For storage, I stack the 1-cup sizes together, the 3-cup sizes together, the 8-cup sizes together, etc.) 6) The plastic lids will likely eventually get brittle and crack. I hope they sell replacement lids at that point.

The glass is what was expected but the plastic cover is not. Gits uneven and not dishwasher suited.

We are pretty fussy and these containers are great quality. They seal well and yes the lids are a bit tight to start off with but hey better than leaking yeah. We bought a large kit with 2 large containers,medium, small and the smaller size that are good for nuts or say protein powder to take with you to work. I use the size pictured for 70gm of home made oat mix with yogurt & blueberries, works perfect. These containers wash up well and are very durable.

Product was def well designed with user experience in mind. Easy to remove lid, great quality glass, versatile for microwave, oven cooking, and easy to clean. The rubber lining on lid can be removed for cleaning :) The company was also very efficient with shipment and constantly updated me on its status via WhatsApp as well.
