I bought this hat although it had had no reviews and the descriptions regarding the sizing were very vague. I was pleasantly surprised! It's good quality and looks great. I am a woman with what I regard as an "average" sized head. Because the description was that that hat fit newborns to adults with size options of small, medium, and large, I decided to go with the large, hoping that it wouldn't be too large. The hat I received actually is a M/L and it fits perfectly--snug like you want a fleece hat to fit, but not too snugly. I can't wait to wear this next week to Norsk Hostfest in Minot, North Dakota.

I really got lucky with this hat. It's soft but has little plastic rivets on the outside. Fits great and looks great on the cutest tedheaded five year old.

Better quality in person than expected.
This hat is adorable, and high quality. I was impressed with the detailing, such as the real metal rivets on the trim. It is also soft, and a small fits my 8 month old with a little room to grow. We are hoping to use it for her for a party when she is just over 12 months, but I think it should still fit at that point. She is entranced by the two braids on the side and loves to tug on them.
