For the beginner or any one anyone getting started with electronics this set is really recommended. There so many things to do, you learn the basic steps and can experiment with the programming. Also the guide brings a simple step by step to everything. In addition, you can also find out about the programming via the Internet in order to learn more about the individual commands. This kit boasts a highly comprehensive array of projects to build and learn to tweak using the Arduino coding software. The quality of the physical hardware components is very very good and the system works brilliantly. For the modest price, you get an awful lot of bang for your buck. This kit has all the components needed to get you started. It comes with wires that can be used to connect from the Mega 2560 to a breadboard and make it simple to make connections without soldering and risking an accident. Most components also have terminal attached to them so you can attach the wires to them with ease. The main focus point of this kit is the Mega 2560 Arduino's software is open source and they let any company make their own versions of the arudino for educational purposes. Sunfounder produce great boards and kits with well thought out projects and manuals The tutorials provided also help you get started easily even if you have no electronics knowledge, the manual is split in to 2 main parts , each component is explored with a basic project to demonstrate the component and how it is used and programmed. The code is explained, and you are encouraged to change it and experiment with it. The second part is some more complex projects that combine several the components into more complex circuits , again clearly laid out and explained step by step and in detail. Just to add although this is said to be “For the beginner” you can use this as a basis for much more complex items , for example I use a Mega 2560 in my R2D2 to control its functions (picture above) so it is quite a powerful kit To conclude the box has in it almost everything you could want to get you going, it should provide hundreds of hours of fun and learning to get your projects working. Huge amounts of support are available free online and its relatively simple to get started with some basic computer knowledge and basic practical skills. A good kit with lots of parts and helpfull tutorials as well as a excellent customer service.

it is a huge upgrade from previous purchase of stem kit but it is highly recommonded by the science teacher for my daughter to develop her interests in programming and appreciate how it works with different components. The tutorials are quite sufficient and helpful as well.

Really easy to use I was up and running within 5 minutes. Top tip is to use the Arduono cloud software it works really well.
