Is this plant okay in chalk alkaline soil

Our plant has been potted in a multi purpose compost and is thriving. It was very small and has grown slightly and flowers are coming on it. So we are happy with it. I was however quite dissappointed with its size when it came. But hopefully next year it will double up as we have not had it long about 1 month
