Highly recommended
Iโve been using this fountain for a few months with zero problems. My cats like it fine. My dog likes it too when she gets the chance to sneak a drink. Itโs easy to clean and is virtually silent. The only time I hear it is when the water is getting low. Itโs easy to clean and simple to put back together. Thereโs a diagram on the bottom with four dots to show you exactly where to attach the pump, no guesswork or repositioning needed. The water capacity is good for my 2 cats. I probably add a cup and a half of water each week by slowly pouring it into the bowl, no need to take the fountain apart. The pump works great, with a steady, gentle arc of water on the back side of the bowl.

My experience and suggestions after 4 months use
I was curious to know if I would experience any issues that I read in the reviews prior to buying. I have some suggestions and observations below, but the bottom line is that I am very pleased with the water fountain and so is my cat, Kiko! I'll list below some of my suggestions, especially on cleaning. I bought the unit with the add-on package of filters and brushes. They looked simple enough that I probably could have bought the brushes elsewhere, but my thought was that it would be useful to see what they thought was good as far as the diameter, length etc. of the wire brushes. Also, I figured (correctly) that I would want spare filters without the pain of reordering. More on this when I detail what was useful cleaning. THE CAT: As expected, my cat was a bit standoffish at first, something new and moving, but by morning he was drinking out of it. I would say within about a week of so he stopped drinking out of the other water bowl we had. I found that the water fountain seemed to stay at a nice temperature. I love that it cycles and aerates, and especially love the filtering aspect. I think Kiko drinks more water with this fountain than he used to with the old bowl I had, and it's definitely cleaner. NOISE: When assembled, clean, and full of water, it is whisper quite. If it gets low on water (for my one cat that was about 6-7 days), you'll see some oscillations in the water flow and it will get noisier, not loud or annoying, just louder than normal. If it's at all noisy, it's either the water level is low or the filters need changing. I think anyone that complains about noise must be doing something wrong. MOTOR/PUMP: I read some complaints about the pump suction cups not sticking. I found the opposite. The suction cup feet stuck to everything I set it down to, the sink, the counter, etc. and it stuck immediately. I would suggest contacting the company and getting a replacement if you have issues, because the one I got is very good even 4 months later. I'm thinking any complaints about the motor not working must be that it is either defective or most likely someone failed to notice there is a lever on the motor that has a sliding min/max setting and the set it to min by accident. I ran it on max all the time. CLEANING: I'm a chemist and I experimented a bit at first because I wanted to see how long I could go without cleaning and replacing the filters. Bottom line is that you should clean it every week otherwise there is some build up that occurs in the crevices by then that eventually will accumulate. Definitely replace the large filter weekly. The smaller one in the motor could probably go longer but since I have to remove it to clean, I replace it weekly as well. RECOMMENDATION: After you clean and reassemble it, half fill it with clean warm water and plug it in and run it there by the sink for 5-10 minutes, to let clean water flow through all the parts and filters, rinsing them of any residual soap and impurities that may be on the filters as packaged from the factory. Just good practice, not any serious concern. CLEANING KIT: It had extra filters, a sponge type brush, and two wire brushes. The two wire brushes I find extremely useful. The sponge brush is useless; what I use to clean dishes is much better. So you could add your own instead of buying theirs but just make sure they are a good length and diameter for getting in the long shafts etc. SUGGESTIONS: 100% definitely ADD A TOOTHBRUSH to your cleaning kit. there are areas of the motor and water nozzle that have small crevices and if you clean these, the water will stay cleaner longer. It's the most useful thing in my cleaning kit; I use it more than anything else. Taking an extra 5 minutes to thoroughly clean makes a difference. Poor cleaning may be the reason other users have issues. RESULTS: Recently I went away for a few days and left out bowls of water as a backup in case there was some odd power failure. When I returned the the fountain was running fresh clean water. The bowls had a layer of dust on the water's surface. BTW, in the rare times I have written reviews, I struggle to write 25 words, but I love my pet and I love this product so much that I wanted to share my findings and suggestions. Enjoy!

Quite and Easy to Clean
If youโre looking for a dependable pet fountain thatโs easy to clean and quite, you should give this one a go. I needed a fountain that didnโt take 30-45 minutes to clean or keep me up at night. This fountain replaced the two fountains I previously used, and my only regret is not replacing them sooner. This fountain, has a large capacity. It is easy to setup and useโฆbut most importantly, ITS A BREEZE to clean. Thereโs no tight nooks a crannies that you canโt get to. Also, it has, what I call, a double filtration operation. Thereโs a carbon filter with a debris screen where the water goes down through the lid, . Hair, particles and impurities are filtered out there. Then on the other side the water is filtered as it goes through the pump. Thats fabulous. It has a couple design flaws in my opinion, but neither devalue the machine. 1โฆthereโs not an easy way to monitor the water level or usage. You have to remove the lid to check. The work around to this is adding a cup every other day to keep it full. 2โฆ in order for the fountain to flow right the pumps output has to be centered just right under the lid. If itโs not lined up correctly then the water may not get pumped up to the lid. Ideally the pump output tube and the tube in the lid would connect and eliminate that problem. Over all though this is a great fountain. My 5lb maltese and 18lb cat share it. Itโs definitely big enough for them and perhaps another. Oh, the filters for this thing doing last long at allโฆ and they donโt seem to have much charcoal in them either. Thatโs probably the biggest con. Personally, I am about to start making filters for my fountain. The info is out there, and Iโm fairly sure I can do better than whatโs offered.

Whisper quiet, extra filters and fountain spouts!
Whisper quiet, plus you get extra filters. Our cat loves this fountain and he stopped trying to tip his water bowl over as soon as we got this one. Good water capacity and the stainless steel make it easy to keep clean.

My Cats and I Love It!
My experience with this product has been nothing but positive! I bought it to replace the old plastic drinking fountain that Iโd had, because my cats were starting to get little rashes underneath their chins, and I had read that sometimes it is the plastic that will exacerbate that condition. After treating their little rashes, and getting rid of the plastic fountain, I invested in this product from ORSDA. I have three cats, and they all enjoy drinking from it, as they love the movement and flow of the water. I found it quite easy to put together, and it did come with several replacement, parts, filters and assembly and maintenance instructions. Over the six months or so that I have owned this product, I have taken good care to give it regular cleanings, inside as out, as well as inside the pump. Each time I put water in, I check the filter, The water quality here in Florida is good, but as I am in a subtropical climate, the tendency for mold and mildew to appear is high, so I really have to change my filters often, which is OK. I like to stay on top of things. I have ordered replacement filters from Amazon that work great with this machine. About three days ago, I discovered that my pump was no longer working. I took it apart and cleaned it and cleaned the entire unit, jiggled it, and basically used every trick in the book that I could think of to try to get it to work again to no avail, I remembered that the product came with a warranty so I wrote to the company and they answered me almost immediately. They generously offered to send me a new pump ASAP. They also asked me for some information, such as, how many cats I have, and how often I clean it. They also asked for a photograph of the pump disassembled. I was all ready to do each of these things quite happily, when I noticed they had added a link at the bottom of the email with an instructional video on how to clean the pump I was pretty confident that I already knew how to clean the pump, but I watched the video anyway, Much to my shock and surprise, I discovered that I was only cleaning the pump halfwayโฆ I discovered that there were other little parts that could be disassembled in order to expose all of the parts that required cleaning! I was convinced that the pump was broken, but I gave those instructions a shot, and wouldnโt you know, it worked! The removal of that additional parts provided me with the opportunity to clean the inner workings of the pump, which were indeed clogged with debris and gunk. I gave it a real good cleaning, and put it back together and plugged it in, and voilร ! Itโs now humming along again very nicely, and I am grateful to this company for manufacturing, selling and standing behind their product! I am very happy to take the extra time required to maintain this drinking fountain, as it is a most popular item in my house! Yes, I would recommend it very highly. Thank you to the kind people at the ORSDA customer service department, for all of your help!

simple, well made and quiet.
This is for my large 8 year old cat. Clean water is important for his health. It is all stainless steer except for the pump the water tube and some trim work on the top. It is easy to clean. I find that many fountains are too hard to keep clean and get very moldy quickly. The ones with the cur little daisies just produce mold, pink and catch hair. It was easy to put together and a starter packet of filters and sponges came in the box . Also when I registered it they sent an 18 piece packet of filters and sponges. Very nice touch. I replace the filter once a week and change the sponge every three times. This is good for one cat and the size is right. I find I just don't change the really big ones as often because it's such a bother. The filter is effective enough to keep the water clear for the whole time between changes. I like when it makes a very quiet noise when the water gets too low; it's hard to tell because the water keeps pumping and does not drop below the top part of the fountain. I had other ones that used to run dry.nIt is cheap enough and compact enough to have multiple ones for multiple cats. I am getting a rescue cat from my son's divorce and will get another one for Momma cat. The fact that it is reasonably priced make that possible. I have had 3 other fountains an abandoned them because the were too large and hard to clean and were mold magnates. All in all a nice reasonably priced product. BTW Boo comes running when I put his daily Ice cubes in it in the morning. You all know every cat is just full of little quirks -----Good job guys!

Fountain is fine.
Cat who hasnt ever shown interest in running water and runs from the sight of the garden hose, didn't take to it. Tried both fountain tips. Left it unplugged w/old water dish back beside it. Still the cat is not interested. Worrying will drink less, now. Sigh .

If youre looking for a fairly cheap but decent fountain, I recommend this one.
This fountain has the potential to be one of the best fountains I've tried. It's sturdy, looks beautiful, the pump works great and is super easy to clean. I love that it has different options for the spout, if you want it to arc or bubble up, I switch it out every time I clean the fountain every week since 2 of my cats prefer the spout while the other 2 prefer the bubbles. The downsides I've ran into; I chipped the little silicone stopper on day 1, pushed it too far through the hole and it just chipped off. Worked fine though, but be aware. I also did get some discoloration in the pan which worried me a bit. Also I feel like the fountain doesn't flow into the pan from the bowl quick enough so the water has a higher chance of sitting there, I just put it so that the pan was slightly angled and I felt better about that. Otherwise, the company responded and took care of any issues I had!

Cat loves it
Our cat loves this fountain. Before, he would only drink from his water tray a few times a day, but now we can be confident that he will drink enough water everyday.

Fuss-free cleaning
It's super easy to take apart to clean. Makes little to no noise and both my cat and dog enjoy drinking out of it.
