Easy to install very sturdy easy to clean best toilet seat I've ever bought I bought several and the past few months and all I've done is busted or cracked or fell apart from the lid to the lids falling apart this is a solid toilet seat

Pretty good, especially for the price. Still mildly annoyed at the sturdiness of it. It still slides around too much, which was the main thing I wanted to fix. But it’s sturdy enough where you can sit on top of the lid if you’re getting ready or something. It fit my toilet fine, just make sure to measure correctly, for reference I believe my toilet is a standard round. Hopefully my photos help. It’s not a soft close!

I am so pleased with this purchase. It was so easy to install. Everything perfect! My old toilet seat had broken & I needed a replacement ASAP. This choice was available for quick delivery & was on sale. Much nicer than I had anticipated & feel blessed.

Gather round, children, and listen to my tale of toilet seat woe. There I was, just a few short weeks ago, in need of a new toilet seat. My previous toilet seat, also made by Bemis, had lasted for years and given good service. But it was definitely time to replace that one. I looked on Amazon, found one that looked good, made from wood with a white finish, and it was only around $15! And then, oh innocent ones, I bought that toilet seat. It arrived, and everything seemed good. This toilet seat looks good. It feels good. It came promptly. Shipping was free with Amazon Prime. In short I was under the impression that it WAS good. The toilet seat installed easily. I tried to open the lid as a test. Instead of leaning against the back of the toilet, the lid stood straight up. "Huh, that's weird" I said to myself. But that doesn't seem like a big deal, and it only cost a few bucks. I could live with a toilet lid that stood straight up. Right? The first sign of trouble came when I sat on the toilet one night after everyone had gone to bed. When leaned against, the standing-straight-up lid bangs loudly against the back of the toilet. Not good! But still, this seat cost about $15, so I just have to very carefully lean against it, directing it slowly against the back of the toilet instead of just sitting down willy-nilly. This was my own fault, I thought, foolishly to myself. Next, I started detecting that the seat slides to the left, since the material that the pads is made out of is a cheap plastic and not grippy to the porcelain. I tried tightening the seat more onto the toilet porcelain, confident in my naiveté that this would fix the problem. Of course, it did not fix the problem. The very-low-quality plastic hinges that were also responsible for the lid standing straight up when raised also did not have the needed rigidity to keep the seat from flexing to either the left or to the right. And flex it did, at which point I discovered yet another problem with this toilet seat. THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT HAS A SHARP EDGE! When I first noticed this during initial unpacking, I thought that the sharp edge was just a stylistic thing that you can't really see anyway--it's underneath! Yeah, I was stupid then, only a few weeks ago. But now I discover that the sharp edge, in combination with the hinges that don't stop the seat from sliding left or right on top of the porcelain and along with the pads that don't grip, means that toilet seat bottom traps and pinches your leg between the seat and the porcelain. And it's sharp, so that pinch HURTS. This is a toilet seat that makes loud bangs at night when you're trying to be quiet, that slides left and right because of bad quality hinge material, that doesn't stick well to the porcelain, and that pinches your leg under itself. It's not a toilet seat, it's a trap! Avoid this toilet seat. If a toilet seat hurts you, it is not doing its job.
