The item clearly works and I am glad I have this as a back-up but the original reason why I bought it did not work. I have a 2017 MB so only usb ports to CarPlay. This item did not work. Instead I had to buy a a usb to usb c data cable for CarPlay to work in my MB.

I needed these to connect newer USB-C devices to an older computer (like my 2015 MacBook Air). Works as intended, good price for a 3-pack, and nice color options.

These USB C to USB A converters are fantastic. It gets the job done. My uses for the three in the pack: 1) I use it with my MagSafe charger daily to charge my iPhone. No issues so far. I have it plugged into a QC 3.0 USB A slot. 2) I leave one plugged into a portable battery with only a USB A slot. That way I can use any USB C to lightning charger. 3) I keep one in my USB power bar at home, so I can charge my Apple Watch USB C plugged in. Much cheaper than buying another Apple adapter.
