No it will not. Not sure. but 1.5qts equal to 48 oz. or 1.6Ls equal to around 51 oz.

Will these hold a full, brand new, typical Doritos size bag of chips if dumped into them?

I doubt they would but that depends on the bag size. I suspect the smaller size bag would but for certain not the large grocery store type bag. The smaller bag would completely fill.
