Works well with lower voltage applications
I used these on an address light on our house. The light is powered by the doorbell transformer at about 18 VAC. These 24 VAC bulbs worked perfectly with only a slight reduction in brightness.

Acceptable, but the led version of this bulb provides much better light with longer durability.
