Spraying ability:Has a good spraying ability and is easy to use, no leaks and good price. My issue after first use is that it didn’t appear to use any of the fertilizer concentrate that I had in the reservoir. Could have been a user error so I will withhold any sort of negative review until I use it again. It does work very well, trigger is easy to use and it sprays nice and evenly.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this product deserves it. The overall design of the Chapin 20-gallon lawn sprayer is frustrating and unsafe. The bottle does not stay securely twisted on, no matter how carefully it’s attached. During a single use, the bottle fell off five separate times, each time spilling chemicals all over me.Not only did this damage my clothes, but it also got directly on my skin, creating a serious health risk — all because the twist-lock system fails to stay sealed under basic use. The plastic construction feels cheap and flimsy, and clearly wasn't built for repeated use with real-world yard applications.For something designed to hold and spray hazardous lawn chemicals, you'd expect a higher standard of safety and quality. Extremely disappointed — I would not trust this sprayer for any application where safety or durability matters.Do not buy.

We have a guy who comes out to check on our HVAC twice a year - May for AC, September for furnace. For the last two years he has told me I needed to clean my evaporator coil fins. I knew enough not to use a pressure washer but was still doing it wrong. This year he said it was bad enough I needed coil cleaner. He said I could buy foam in a can but added "Ours comes in a gallon jug that we put into a sprayer." He was trying to point me to the right stuff while not endangering his job. His company would have charged me $600 to clean my unit. I searched for the can foam and this came up too along with the Simple Green Foaming Coil Cleaner. Bingo!Application is super easy. Put the cleaner in the sprayer bottle, attach to your hose. The first pass was both amazing and disgusting. Globs of dirt coming off my coil fins. I was shocked at how much better this was than my previous attempts with just "thumb on the hose". I ended up doing the worst side 3 times and the second worst twice. I used 1/4 of the gallon to do that. You will notice a change in how much foam is produced that indicates when you have run out of cleaner and are just spraying water.Attach the sprayer to the hose first then unscrew the bottle to fill it. The hose connector does not rotate so you want to attach it empty because you are going to be rotating the entire unit. The coil cleaner is very slippery so be careful about spilling on the sides.The sprayer tip is designed to let you get between the slats. Part of what made my previous attempts fail was that the protective slats for the unit protected too well. This solves that. You get under the slats and just blast crud off your coil fins.If there was a smell, I dont remember it so it must not have been strong. The value is through the roof. $30 for the foam and $7 for the sprayer. I should get 4 cleanings out of that. Call it $6 a cleaning vs $600.

The black lever only turns the water on and off.To siphon up your solution - You need to put your finger over the small hole in the lid. Haha. I always throw directions away, too!It’s exhausting on your hand if you’re holding it for any length of time. We put tape over it.The cap is not secure. It is a twist and lock type of lid. It does not have threads that screw on, but about half turn.It leaks if you tip it too far. Combine that insecure lid with your finger over the hole and your hands really start to ache. One hand on the hose end, lid and hole. The other hand supporting the leaky half twist bottle and dragging the hose.Pressure is decent but that’s dependent on your personal water pressure. The size and quality of the hose makes a difference, too.You would need to fill gallon buckets to measure its accuracy.Considering the number of other flaws- I have a hard time trusting that.It’s primitive and cumbersome, but the end of the day it functions…mostly I guess.

As a homeowner and budding (get it?) gardener, I say this is a must! Often times many of the all in one sprayers that come with weed and feed or lawn care product just fail you miserably. And then you’re stuck with a bag of solution with no way to use it other than wildly flinging liquids onto your yard. Nobody wants that. But with this simple (affordable) product, you’re able to give your lawn what it needs to a great amount of control.

Basic garden hose fertilizer sprayer. Side of plastic bottle indicates how many gallons of mix fertilizer you'll be using once empty. Plan on spraying 10 gallon on plants, 2 tablespoons per gallon, add 20 tbls and fill bottle to 10 gallon mark, easy as that. Has one off valve on top allows you to water without fertilizing. This Chapin G390 Hose End Sprayer For Water Soluble Materials is basic application for $7 it's honestly all you need, why spend 3-4 time more?
