Great adapter for old wireless xbox controllers.
Works like it should. Used this to adapt some old rockband instruments to an xbox one using the retrocultmods V3 adapter. The instruments connected first try and havent dropped signal yet. Latency seems to be pretty good as well.

Okay product that's much cheaper than the Microsoft version
The original product review is below, but since that review I was able to replace the product and the second iteration works quite a bit better.. There is still some general wonkiness with not pairing, so I wouldn't want to really rely on this product much, but it *does* work with my Steam Link and Windows 10.If you do get a bad product, try sending it back and see if the replacement works any better.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I bought this as a cheaper to replace the insanely expensive microsoft adapter I had for my steam link that went bad. Plugging into the steam link, you can get the light flash, but when my controllers were put in pairing mode, none of them worked.I thought maybe this was a steam link issue so I tried plugging it into my windows 10 PC. I followed the instructions on the product page but I wasn't able to get to the point where I could select the Xbox 360 driver (see photos). Also, the adapter refuses to stay in pairing mode if you try to pair too many times it seems. The light will blink once and then go back to being solid.

AVOID. Driver Difficult to Install, Have to Reinstall it Constantly, Often Will Not Work
What a nightmare. It is not plug-and-play so every time you plug it in or turn on your computer you have to reinstall the driver. And reinstalling it is counterintuitive, requiring instructions--for example, your PC will tell you to restart to make it work but if you do you have to start all over again. Even after updating the driver it often does not work so you have to try it all over again. And sometimes it partially works and you don't realize it until you are in a game. Great device if you want your gaming friends to have to wait 45 minutes while you try to get this thing working, and then give up.

Do NOT download the Chinese drivers if you dont want to
This works perfect after just choosing the microsoft driver that you already have if it wasnt plug and play for you.Go to your PC Control panel > Device manager > look under "other devices" or maybe "Universal serial bus devices" for your unknown device (the adapter) > right click and choose update driver > choose browse my computer for divers > at bottom click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" > scroll to bottom and click xbox 360 peripherals > click Xbox 360 Wireless Reciever for windows > click ok or confirm ignore the mess up your device warning. I did this and works 100% had to redo it if I unplugged it but thats it.

Simple to set up
I am using this for my Rock Band 2 guitar controller so I can confirm it works. All you need to do is install the newest driver for the receiver in the Windows Device Manager then connect the two together, very simple. The input lag was not bad as I was expecting but still noticeable on faster songs. Found out that sometimes when you unplug the receiver it resets the driver, and you have to reinstall it but I'm not moving it around often so I don't unplug it unless necessary.

Works as intended to use my Xbox 360 controllers
I had some old Xbox 360 controller laying around and I figured why not use this for couch party night unfortunately, the controllers don’t support being connected to computers directly through Bluetooth and requires an adapter. This adapter does this. The connection process is a seamless as an Xbox 360 just push the button, then push your controller button then then they will sync. I believe you can sync up as many controllers as this original. Xbox 360 does only use three so far.

It works "fine" but it has two big problems
I bought this receiver around May 2023 and I use it almost every day, it's relatively easy to setup for someone who knows very well about computers like me but anyone who has very basic or little knowledge need to struggle a bit with a little YouTube tutorial about drivers and how to install them, IDK if it was my computer but you have to install the drivers again if you change it from a usb port to another, and thats not even the biggest problemThe first problem is that the connection its a bit unstable, if you cover the center area of the controller with your hands, the controller can disconnects from the receiver for a couples seconds, and this can happen anytime even if you dont cover the controllerThe second problem is that the moment the controller is disconnected the first time, Windows doesn't detects anymore, unless you change the receiver to another usb port or restart the computer, luckily some games still detect the controller but some old games dont and is like a lottery to know which game can and can't, so you have to restart the pc or change the port everytime the connection becomes unstable or the controller shuts downBesides these problems, the receiver is pretty good, it's sync the controller pretty easy, Windows does detects it as an official receiver (if you install the correct driver) so its pretty straightforward, good product with some details
