Sports nutritionists, based on research (I am a certified personal trainer and have heard lectures where the topic was discussed), have concluded that whey protein isolate is the most effective whey protein and 10 grams within a half hour prior to exercising and 10 grams within a half hour after exercising (resistance exercise) over time results in a favorable increase in lean body mass.This whey protein, I believe (please check), was approved as acceptable by Consumer Labs as being free of contaminants.The last batch I received was lightly sweetened with sucralose, the only sweetener considered safe based on evidence by the Center for Science in the Public Interest.Although Stevia is "natural", it did not receive the same clean bill of health.The only issue I have with this product is that it uses artificial flavoring which while, perhaps, not harmful, would best be replaced by pure vanilla.The chocolate flavor has dutch processed-I asked the company- (alkalinized) cocoa . The dutch processing considerably lowers the amounts of favorable flavinoid antioxidants in cocoa which would be desirable (although, not to my knowledge, proven) after a hard workout which creates free radicals in the body.All in all, this is one product where less is more.

I have used this protein powder for years and I really like it. I am not a athlete. I use this to supplement meals and to help me control my weight. Works great. The only complaint I have is that when I received this product the inside seal, underneath the lid was not completely sealed. The plastic seal around the outside rim was intact. Being from the country I said what the heck and used it anyway. I didn't die. I guess it is ok. I assumed that with the hot weather maybe the glue just melted and it came lose.

I have been using this product for 4 years and I like how it blends in with my milk, egg white protein drink in the morning or I will mix it in with my cereal and other foods to get that extra protein as needed.

Good supplement. No added sugar, sweetner, or flavor.

so far, I prefer this brand.....this is a very good price too!!!! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to add 20 grams of good protein to their daily intake.

This is an excellent protein source with NO additives, sugar, artificial sweeteners, etc. Neutral flavor mixes with just about anything.
