Screwed this hood on like I was twisting the neck of a moonroach priest—threads grindin’ like a methhead’s molars in a bathtub baptism. My Fuji X100VI looked at me different after—like it just got outta prison and tasted its first photon steak. No more flare, no more glare—just stare-downs with the sun till it peels like a burnt onion. This thing got my lens lookin’ like it smokes cigarettes made of thunder and eats shadows for breakfast. Now every shot I take smells like charred velvet and God’s armpit—clean, mean, and optically obscene.

I am not a fan of using a vented hood on my camera, but did want to use a clear filter for protection (I live in the high desert). I had tried other hoods but which worked, but then I found this one and highly recommend it! I like how compact it is and the fact that it comes with an integrated filter. I see no degradation of the image when using it. An added bonus is that it accepts the OEM hood, which is a win-win in my book. Highly recommended!

Really liked the fact that its a one piece solution instead of two. Also, I changed the glass it came with for my blackmist filter glass.Only problem is that through the viewfinder you'll see a bit of the hood. Not a big issue but could be distracting

I was looking for a decent lens hood for my X100V that would complement the style and aesthetic of the camera without compromising functionality. The hood itself is solid metal, and has a nice grip pattern than matches the pattern on the camera dials. The built in UV filter seems to be of good quality, I don't see any noticeable affects on my images, so I'll leave it place for now.I mostly use optical mode when using the viewfinder, and found some hoods block out too much of the visible area. this one is only a little bit more visible in the viewfinder than the lens itself is. Other hoods just didn't have a good aesthetic appeal for me.One of the fun things about owning an X100 camera is all the ways you can customize the body to fit your own personal style. I wanted to get this hood in silver to match my camera's body, but that color was out of stock. I decided to step out of the box a bit and just go for this red one instead. It actually turned out to be a nice compliment to my red soft release button and wrist strap.

This lens hood feels like it came with original box as it fits with the aesthetic of the camera (Fujifilm X100VI). It doesn't stick out as much as other square or vented hoods. Comes with its own lens cap I can use as a spare. It's already protected the main lens more than once while the cameria is hanging on a next strap or in a bag. Love the texture of the outer ring.

Really good fit on my silver X100VI. No gaps and the silver is just about the same as the body. OEM cap fits as well! No discernible change in image quality as far as I can tell.
