can i answer the phone or at least send text message?

Hi, you can answer the phone and talk but you cant hear, it's useful only for saying "hey, i call you back in a minute". * In the other hand, you cannot send/reply text messages. Hope it helps! * phone and fitbit must be connected to each other PS: I'm an iOS user

Why isn't my fitbit syncing? i was so excited about this purchase, but now that i have it nothing but disappointment. not updating, or syncing

I had the problem of fitbit not syncing with the phone app. I shut down the watch by going into settings on the watch and scrolling down to the bottom option. Tap on that, it says "shut down". It takes a few seconds to shut down. Then press firmly on the side button to power fitbit back on. At that point, I checked the phone app and sync was complete. Of course Bluetooth has to be left on through out.

Does it have a speaker?

Yes, the speaker works with Alexa. You ask questions or interact with Alexa and you hear her responds. The speakers also work with the new phone call function. However as of now January 2021 the call sometimes drop. Hopefully Fitbit will update this.

Can you start fitness tracking with google assistant?

You cannot start fitness training with google assistance. I was very disappointed by this incapability of the Fitbit Versa 3
