How do i get the bill of the hat straightened after it being folded for shipping purposes?

I used a damp cloth to lightly wet the brim. Then placed the hat in sun laying flat for about 1 hour.

Just got my hat today and it’s all bent up because it was folded twice in the package. The brim has 4 lines through it like a cross

I returned the hat because was not sturdy
