I was a little confused by the Amazon reviews for these speakers. I was looking for a set of small speakers to complement my new desktop pc and very high spec - but speakerless - 27" monitor. The pc will be used mainly for CAD and image processing but I like a little music while I work and I do play the odd driving game. For serious gaming I will use a set of quality headphones but I wanted a set of fairly low cost speakers for casual listening. I have had monster speaker kits for pc in the past but they take up too much room and I end up turning the volume right down to avoid disturbing others anyway so..... just a simple set will do as long as the sound is reasonably good. The Sanyun SW102s looked ideal and most reviews confirmed this. However, there were a few very negative ones including at least one stating that the good reviews were all fake and the product was junk! Well, you always get a few weird reviews (and reviewers) and if they were really junk they would go back to Amazon for a refund - at the price it was certainly worth the risk of minor hassle. Well, the positive reviews were spot on and I really don't know what the negative ones were listening to or expecting. No, they don't sound as good as the Mission speakers in my lounge - but they cost 20 times less! They are perfect for my needs and the sound is actually far better than I expected for the price. They were 'plug and play; I just plugged the power and audio leads into the back of the pc, placed the speakers either side of my monitor stand (so they effectively take up no desk space) and got perfectly adequate sound. Plenty loud enough for music and casual gaming with none of the 'tinny' sound described by some negative reviews and they are silent (to my ears anyway) when no sound is being sent from the pc. I can understand that the blue lights are not to everyone's taste and it would be nice if they could be switched off. However, the fact that they stay on after I close down the pc reminds me that its still using energy and I should really switch off at the wall socket. Delivery was amazingly fast - pretty much next working day - and far earlier than promised. For what they are and what they promise for the price, I can't fault these speakers and the customer service was exemplary.

Right then, down to the details: Sizewise they're nice and small (8cm tall and 10cm wide) so they fit rather nicely under the monitor so they minimise the space they take up. Sound quality is ok for their size, depending on what you want them for. If you're just after general use speakers for laptop or light use they're absolutely grand - if you want them for music playback or gaming then they're ok, but don't quite have the depth of sound needed. There's a volume control wheel on the wire connecting one of the speakers - it works well, but can sometimes be difficult to reach if you are using a fixed pc setup. Not a problem with laptop as the leads are long enough for portable devices, but I'd have preferred the control to be mounted in one of the speakers for ease of access. As regards the blue light, it's decent - not too bright if you're working in low light conditions, though make sure it's not in a powered usb port (the type that's always 'on' to recharge gadgets) or the light will stay on permanently. Price-wise difficult to beat. They're a decent price and seem solidly built (as much as anything is these days...... I remember back when...... ).

I recently bought a new laptop ( Chromebook) and as so many speakers ( and apps and programs) are not compatible with a Chromebooks OS I decided to try some wired ones. I cannot get the chromebook to work with my current hofi so needed something new and didn't want to spend a lot just to test out f the idea worked. They are not very loud, but are louder than the chromebook. They are not very bassy but offer far more bass than the chromebook. They do not have any software so no Equalizer or similar sound adjustment but the quality of the sound is better than the chromebook. I have included a video , I start the video with these speakers plugged in, tye speakers are set to maximus volume, the laptop is set to maximum volume. I then unplug the speakers during the song showing how my laptop sounds without, and then plug them back in to show again the difference with the speakers plugged in, all at max volume. If , like me, you have a laptop with the aux 3.5mm audio jack on one side but your usb A one the other ( the one for USB sticks, as opposed to USB c which charges the phone) , then the cables can be a bit challenging, however it may be simply because I am old and use a laptop on my lap, which my son reliably informs me Is simply not done these days, apparently a laptop now belongs on the desk ( makes me wonder what a desktop is now placed??) To summarise these are no surround sound system, however they are not priced or sold as such. They are light, and I imagine would be excellent for travel and as you are not using Bluetooth or a wireless network, also more secure. I hope this information is useful.

Rubbish. Nine days after the window to return these speakers closed they started continously crackling and no matter what I tried the crackling continued. All I have been using these speakers for is to play the sound out of my laptop through the head phone socket. Not good enough.

Great small USB desktop speakers for the price you can’t go wrong. Great frequency response for such small USB powered speakers. Bass, mids and highs are represented well enough considering the size. Even use them as a listening reference tool for my studio recordings and mixes. that and phone speakers. Just all round great for casual pc browsing as well as gaming where audio is secondary to the gameplay (rocket league, red dead 2 etc). Might need headphones for intensive games where audio is needed for awareness and reactions (COD, PUBG etc). Saying that I use the speakers for Call of Duty as I’m still able to hear everything quite clearly so there’s that XD. All in all, highly recommend these to anyone that just want a cheap solution but no sacrifices in audio quality. Though I do wish there was an off switch for the speakers themselves as the blue ambient light (which looks nice not overkill) does not go off even after pc shutdown. Though I do turn off my pc’s power supply at the back every time anyways which means everything connected is off. Not a major problem.

Compact great sound quality, easy to install

I came across these speakers as I was searching for a pair of white colored ones. My initial choice was the one by Creative, but when I saw this came with blue lights, I ordered it immediately and only read the reviews after placing my order. Arrival was very quick, the next day! (Thank you seller for your excellent service!) I set them up immediately and like the very clear mid to treble range sound. The bass seems underpowered, but unless you really prefer a huge bass type, this speakers are more than adequate. I game quite a bit and listen mostly to classical music, so it's good at this price. There's a volume control which I set to maximum, and I use my keyboard's control to adjust and the volume has quite a huge range from very soft to very loud. Like one reviewer said, you cannot turn the blue lights off, but this isn't a problem at all as it looks very good. If you are looking for a nice looking pair of speakers with really clear sound this is it!

They don't look like much. They're small and don't cost much, so most would assume that they'd get what they pay for. In this case, you'd be pretty wrong. These are definitely better than what you'd normally pay for at this price. Hard to believe something this good actually exists for a low cost. Honestly, that is likely due to it being a wired connection than wireless. Don't get me wrong, the little volume controller the speakers come with, although functional, don't do much either itself. However, most likely you'd be connecting these to a device that has it's own volume control as well, so you wouldn't only rely on the seaker's volume control anyway so this shouldn't be a problem. These speakers can get very loud. The sound quality is amazing. Very crisp, clear, and balanced between highs, mids, and lows. The bass packs a nice punch to it. What I normally do is keep the speakers volume control set to 100%, then just control the volume through my pc. In the video, I have the computer's volume set to 30%. However, this is even loud. When I'm sitting on my desk, I normally keep my computer volume between 10%-20% because of how loud the speakers can be. I keep it between 20% - 30% when I'm sitting on my couch that's about 5ft away from the speakers. I can hear it loud and clear from there. I've listened to different kinds of music and watched movies just to test and compare the overall sound and was very impressed. When I have the pc volume set on 20%, I can still hear it when I go to the kitchen, which is about 30ft away from my office. These speakers, so far, haven't struggled with any sound I've tested it with. Also, since they're small, they don't take up a lot of room either. Being a gamer and a regular music listener, having good sound quality is extremely important. This does the job. Recommend it? Definitely. You'd be getting a great deal on this. Obviously, it wouldn't be as good as the larger more expensive speakers, but if you want something zmaller, cheaper, and still has a good sound quietly, get these.
