Simple, small and plenty effective
This is a nice addition to the system. The base station is OK but these are great. Put one or two outside and in the basement. They are super loud and will alert neighbors if outside. Decent price point too.

A Siren That Actually Wakes Everyone Up
Why We Needed It After I accidentally set off our SimpliSafe alarm, the base station barely made a sound and my wife and kids did not even wake up. That was a wake-up call for me, literally. I knew we needed something louder that would actually get everyone’s attention in case of a real emergency. Setup and Installation Setting this up was really easy. I just opened the SimpliSafe app, added the siren, and it connected almost instantly. The app makes it straightforward to assign it to the system and it even lets you test it right away. Mounting it on the wall was a little tricky if you tried to rely on the adhesive. It did not feel secure enough, so I went with the screws included in the package. Once it was screwed in, it felt solid and I did not have to worry about it falling off. Performance This thing is seriously loud. When we tested it, it was impossible to ignore and I can say with confidence it would wake up anyone in the house. The tone is sharp and high enough to be heard through most doors and rooms. It adds an extra layer of peace of mind compared to relying on the base station alone. Pros Easy to connect and manage through the SimpliSafe app Loud enough to wake up everyone in the house Small and unobtrusive once installed Works exactly as expected Cons Adhesive was not great for wall mounting Might be a bit more expensive than some non-official options, but the reliability is worth it Bottom Line If your SimpliSafe alarm is not loud enough on its own, this is a must-have. It is easy to set up, performs exactly as advertised, and will actually alert everyone in the house. I feel much better knowing that if the alarm goes off at night, it will not go unnoticed.

Works great to alert your neighbors.
Works great with my Smiplisafe system, it does get loud. I have it installed under my front door porch away from the weather.

What you get you can barely hear so this is kind of a scam but it’s very loud
What you get with your system is pretty worthless and I’m sure they did that on purpose. See it so you would spend more money on this That being said, it really is insanely loud, but they could’ve just changed the original price point and included this rather than defrauding us out of money. Stupid I would never buy SimpliSafe again. It’s really clunky and outdated very unattractive devices but you get we pay for it. It’s just a cheap entry-level low price, but it does the job

I'll wake up the whole neighborhood!!!
We got broken into. Unfortunately we didn't have a system at that time, so we did some research and settled on simplisafe. I got the extra siren to put in the garage. OMG its so loud. My poor dogs ran for the hills when we tested it. I'm sure the neighbors hated it. Its a must have if you have a two or more story house. The door chime from the base is not loud enough for me to hear downstairs, where I spend most of my time, unless I'm listening for it. So we got another one for downstairs. The great part of these sirens are they are adjustable. My siren downstairs will not sound so loudly if the alarm is triggered, and I can hear the door chimes to know if someone has entered my house. The best part is they are so reasonably priced. As crazy as it sounds, I plan on buying 6 more. Three outside the back of my house, three outside the front of my house. I'll wake my whole neighborhood! We've had enough of these break ins. Kinda hard to get away when the entire neighborhood is standing on their porch watching you run.

How to place and use sirens
When we first installed the system we put one siren in the main upstairs hall. It was of course loud, but the carpet and hall location dampened sound in rest of home. I bought two more. And I determined the best result of terrible alarm sound in a large area was to place them on a high cabinet facing up to ceiling. One on a six foot high cabinet in living room by front door, one on seven foot bookcase in office by back office door. Placed this way the siren sound reflects off ceiling, filling the large area with ear-splitting sound. This works far more effectively than the first alarm siren I put on ceiling in hall area. Give it a try. Check location. Consider pointing siren in a high location facing towards ceiling, which will reflect sound. In our larger home the three sirens are ear-splitting through out the home. I like the system! Batteries in sirens last about six months. Same for motion detectors. Door alarm batteries last longer— haven’t needed to replace in a year. The system reports when siren batteries are low. It doesn’t report when other sensors need batteries.

Excellent product..would like to get another one
I tested this and my teeth hurt it was so loud. I expected it to be louder than the base unit but more than expected. You can barely stand being in the same room when this goes off. This is great to sue away intruders.
