Can I use this with a bucket of water instead of a faucet?

You need to attach a hose to the hose given so the water can mist out. A bucket of water will not work.

How long is the tubing to connect the fan to the faucet?

I attached it to my outdoor fan and I love it. All of my visitors ask me about it, it's so pleasant to have on when just sitting outside. I'm considering ordering another one for another fan. Thanks
