Artworx Premium Artist Colouring Pencils - 120 Coloured Pencils For Adults - Coloring Pencil Crayons Set

I bought this set more than 2 years ago, as an aspiring artist who was also taking Art for A Level. Two + years on they are all in very good condition and durable, making it a good gift option. They are comfortable to hold due to a circular design and the tips themselves are quite soft allowing for good blending and saturation. I have used these a lot and because of the dynamic range of colours I have not needed a new set since. I can also acheive the perfect colour and shade I am looking for due to the simple blending and the vast range of options. In my photo I have compared the different pencils on how much I use them - haven't used the metallic gold so it is in almost pristine condition. Ive used the blue occasionally so it's slightly blunt and there is blue remnants on the edge of the tip. However the red I have used a lot, I haven't sharpened it for the picture so you can see what it would look like. The edge of the wood tip is peeling slightly but to no effect of use, comfort and quality.

This is a great pack for just colouring or more serious art work. It's in a tin not a box and has wonderful colours. They blend easily and the ends are softer than other hard pencils. My partner was very pleased.

The first thing that struck me about this set of pencils is the numbering system.Read the info above and you will see the pencils are arranged by number so if they get knocked off your work table by your cat, as mine have been, they are so easy to pop back into the correct order; and colours are grouped within that eg 1-19 are blues. You need to ignore the names especially if you’ve got a few tins because each brand has its own idea of what a color should look like. I always fill in the colour grid/tester sheet, particularly important with this brand. It’s really good as they’ve arranged each colour’s shades by depth, very useful when your learning to use shading to make your work look more realistic by giving it depth. They colour with richness and depth and blend easily….really good for the price. I do lots of colourings of flowers and plants so referring to a grid like this allows me to compare and remember the shades in different brands. I’m very fortunate that I came into a lot of money 2 years ago and have been able to buy LOTS of pencils including all the best out there….Polychromos, Prismacolors, Caran D’Ache, Inktense but lots of value sets like the Artworx too. And it’s the value sets that give me say for example a large number of different reds, pinks and purples for when I’m working on large flower pictures. I definitely think this is a useful addition to my collection.

These pencils are fantastic feel lovely to use amazing colours and shading is really easy. Will buy these in future as they don't break. All my other pencils are going in the bin as they break and you don't find out till you need to sharpen them

Bought these chosen because of reviews and cost. Absolutely brilliant pencils for the price I would say they are perfect for you if your a beginner or a bit rusty and need to practice different shading etc. you can’t go wrong with them. Beautifully presented in a lovely metal tin and loving the colour legend printed on to tin lid and also the colour testing sheet all colour coded to practice fading down that particular crayon from dark to the lighted shade. Easy then for when you’ve chosen a pic you can pick your colours from the colour swatch to colour in. That way you can pick the perfect colour from the sheet you coloured in and use that to build or fade the colour on your chosen part of the picture you can then layer into darker shade or fade out. To help make the picture really come alive. Colouring certainly has come along way since I last had a colouring book. I would definetly do the sheet of swatches already printed. Crayons are quite comfy to hold. The quality is quite beautiful the crayons build up well are good for doing all the different colouring techniques. Only downside I can see is that the yellows intop traysx can be abit difficult in building up darker shades and xjj. Will defo be buying more when time comes. Another suggestion. Is to watch you tube on adult colouring books xxx

I'm not an artist by any means, I just like doing mindfulness colour books but wanted more shades than my 12 pencils. I'm absolutely thrilled by the quality and the way you can get these pencils to blend colours in. Excellent quality for a very reasonable price. To be fair I thought they may not be so good given they were (in my opinion) very cheap. But they are superb and definitely very well worth the price. I would have expected a set like this , with this quality, to be double the price. Extremely happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend . My only problem is choosing which colour to use as there's so many ! But that's a good thing

These pencils are amazing. I started using them after joining art classes and found they lay down really nicely for blending, layering and highlighting. More recently I bought some Polychromos, which were like 4 x the price, but they felt exactly the same to use. The only thing to consider with the Artworx is that they aren't lightfast, so not suitable if you're selling your work (hence why I bought Polychromos), but they're amazing to learn with. Most of the pencils also have the same name as the Polychromos which is handy when interchanging or following tutorials. I find they work best on drafting film, but that might be just me, not the pencils. I've tried them on pastelmat but couldn't quite get the look I was after (again, probably me not the pencils). Overall would highly recommend - they come beautifully packaged too and look a lot more expensive than they are.
