Seems like a well made, heavy duty product. I like the fact that it is entirety metal with no plastic. Lever is somewhat hard to open and close, but I prefer that to a loose, sloppy one. I routinely change all of my hose washers to the brown rubber ones that you find in the plumbing departments of hardware stores -- no leaks that way. I have these valves on all of my hoses.

Love the shutoff feature and have them all around the house on each hose...this allows you to detach anything attached to the hose without having to go back and turn off the faucet every time. Just need to make sure you have adequate male/female brass attachments for all of your attachments.

I got tired of the broken plastic shutoff on our work hose and ordered these 2 months ago. They are sturdy although the shutoff was difficult to turn so I had to squirt some WD-40 around it and that fixed the issue easily which is the only reason I lowered it a star because I figured without some lubricant, even the metal could wear and potentially break. Sturdy enough that I think it will last a long time and doesn't leak or have any other issues.

Only attached them last week to my garden hoses. But easy to attach without leaking, so far so good-they seem to be well made. The open-close valve is a little tight but no problem with that; I'd rather too tight than too loose. Well worth the cost; if I need more I'll definitely buy these again.

Sturdy brass which will last long and were cheaper than most of the plastic devices. Plus I got two for the low price.

You loose half your water pressure after installing.

Great product. I purchase this shut off valve was mainly to stop leaking as temporary solution until I have time replacing existing valve. It seems working great so far.

I ordered a set of these quarter turn shut off valves over a year ago - had no issues. I ordered a new set. The day I put the first valve on, it cracked. I replaced the first valve with the second one in the set and the second valve will not seal properly even with 3 wraps of PTFE tape on the threads. The leak comes from the threaded end, from both under the threads where the hose connects and from behind the rubber seal which pushes water through gap that allows the threaded to spin. Look elsewhere. These used to be heavy duty but are not anymore.
