Good, replacement for a worn out one

Found it very difficult to set up. A month on and still can't work out how to set the radio alarm.

Philips have disgraced themselves. Nasty plastic box with sound quality so bad it's unpleasant to listen to. The main problem is that I cannot find a way to set the alarm volume. I'll say that again. A radio where you cannot set the volume. I've spent a day trawling Philips support site, and the only thing I've found is the same question from another customer that Philips have not bothered to answer. If you try to use the direct contact support, if you can find it, then you are asked to upload documentation providing proof of purchase, and you give up. The only web search I found was for a different Philips radio that said this was a "product limitation". That's not what I would call it!

really good clock love it

I ordered this because my old Roberts clock radio stopped working. Mind you, I'd used it for many years. I decided to go down the Philips route as their brand name is reasonably good and ordered this. Like my heading says - you pay cheap - you get cheap. Its a very lightweight clock/radio and the instructions are easy to follow but the radio itself is of very poor quality. The buttons are awkward and setting it is a real hassle. Trying to set up the alarm function is quite tricky. The sound quality is less than poor and it just looks CHEAP! If you want a poorly made, low quality clock/radio - then this is your item. Good luck!

What I do like about this clock radio is that it allows you to have two seperate alarms. It is also very easy to use and set. What I don't like is that when you set the alarm to come on with the radio, regardless of what you set the volume at, it will turn on quietly and then every few seconds get progressively louder. As someone who likes to wake up to the radio and lie there for a few seconds to 'come to' this is a pain. I essentally have to turn off the alarm, then turn on the radio.

Dieses Produkt ist englisch und ein Konvertierungsstecker musste separat gekauft werden... das stand bei der Bestellung nirgends geschrieben! Ich kaufe innerhalb Deutschlands, dann erhalte ich ein EU-konformes Produkt!!
