These work fine
Ive had 3d capability for over a year and just hadnt used it till I watched a movie at a friends house. I finally got the glasses from sony because I did not know if others were compatible with sony tv and bluray player. These work just fine but they are kind of big and a little pricey, we watched a one hour documentary just to test them out and they didnt bother me or my wife at all. I am going to order and try the cheaper lighter ones to see if they work too and if so I will get a few more of those for guests.

Good price.. brand specific
The local retailer wants $150 for these glasses. I found them for a lot less. Be aware these are brand specific so a Sanyo or Panasonic pair won't necessarily work for viewing a Sony. The battery is a common disc type you can find in most drugstores so they are not hard to locate. Replacement insertion is easy. You also have to have an emmiter either built in or bought with your 3D TV. You cannot simply buy the glasses and see 3D.Many note eye strain and or headache watching 3D television. Perhaps that's why the format hasn't sold as well as expected. The picture is grand but the downside is they darken the picture (which you can compensate for on your set) and they do cause fatigue in long viewing. They is nothing concrete to substantiate this but if I had young children I would limit their viewing of any 3D programming. Sony even puts this disclaimer in the info sheet they provide. Glasses are very adjustable and fit over your eyeglasses unless you have oversize frames. They do make a separate children's size. These are comfortable and lightweight enough so as not to be distracting while viewing.I experience no more eye strain with these than watching a theatrical 3D presentation... but it is a factor. With satellite TV, I get broadcast 3D on three channels which does expand available programming. There are only a few DVD's as of now. If you can obtain a copy from EBAY, the promotional copy of Avatar in 3D is the best example to show off the capability of your 3D television. It won't be availaable to the general pubic (I read) until Nov 2011. I compared Samsung, Panasonic, and Sony 3D sets and went with the 60" Sony Bravia XBR not just for the 3D; but because it had a superior picture and built in emmitter and WiFi. It comes with 2 pair of these included. Extra glasses were a must buy . 3D is super especially for sporting events like Nascar and basketball.

Great Product
These glasses were the exact ones that I purchased at best buy, but I was able to save $35 on each pair.I wear glasses and these glasses fit over my glasses and are very comfortable. I really don't have any complaints about these classes, and I certainly would purchase them again through Amazon because of the savings.

Probably better to invest a little more for better quality
Works ok but battery needs frequent charging. One of the pair of glasses has stopped working within couple of years, in spite of hardly being used

i need polaring filters
i had just purchased Sony 3-D Blu-Ray Player bdv-e570 and Sony Bravia 3-D LCD KDL-55HX800. Without polarizing filters, which Sony will be sending me, i could NOT see 3-D. Now here's how I got there, if you are interested.I thought that connecting one into the other via HDMI cable [using TV input 1 to ensure Bravia sync], plugging in the transmitter, putting a 3-D Blu-Ray in, donning these glasses and then hitting Play would take me to the 3-D world. Not so. Best i could get was 3-D simulation, which wasn't bad. no matter what settings i tried on all the 3-D menus and submenus - no 3-D. i read the manuals. nothing. i braced myself and called the Sony priority number [239-768-7606], which took me to Central America where i stayed a lonnnnnnng time. I clicked TV and talked to a charming lady who ascertained that all the firmware was up to date and had me do a power off restart. after 1/2 hour, she transferred me to the special section, which turned out to be the home theater section. She did everything again EXCEPT power off when i told her i'd done that. after 1/2 hour she declared that the blu-ray player was functioning perfectly [it was a Plug n' Play set-up] and transferred me to TV again. Another 1/2 hour and another transfer to some tech person who verified all of the above via Reference Number, which at least saved me going through my demographics. Then she asked about glasses. i gave her model#, i was put on hold for a lonnnnng time and then she returned and said she was sending me free of charge polarizing filters, which should correct the problem in 7 to 10 days. total time on the phone: 1 hour 54 minutes. i just had to get all of this off my chest and save someone else angst.

Works Perfectly
When I first connected the 3D transmitter to the TV and tried watching a 3D Blu-ray, I encountered a few break-ups of the 3D experience. It was then that I discovered I had the transmitter pointing toward the TV and not toward me. Once that was corrected, the break-ups stopped. I'm actually surprised they managed to work as well as they did before I discovered my problem. The glasses shut-off automatically only when there is no 3D signal. That's done to save batteries. As long as you're watching a 3D feature, the glasses continue operating without any problems at all.

Battery durability
Sony TDG-BR100 Adult Size 3D Active Glasses, BlackPurchased 3 pairs of Sony 3D glasses.Glasses shut off automatically after 5 to 10 minutes so you have to continuously recheck and restart.Other than that problem with all 3 pairs they seem to be good, not too uncompfortable.
