Chili Nacho Cheese Protein Chips

I've been lifting weights quite a bit lately, and these chips had a better price than other high protein brands so I thought I would try them. I haven't had any other protein chips, so I don't have anything to compare them to but regular chips. They weren't as great as regular chips. More like a cross between a chip and a cracker texture wise, and they tasted healthier and less oily than chips generally do. Flavor wise, they were pretty good though. I like them pretty well plain. They go great in chilli. I also used them in taco salad, in place of the Doritos I normally use, and they worked very well in that also. I wish I had bought more and will probably order more in the future. They have 12 grams of protein in them and the calories are low too. I would recommend them to someone who works out but tries to watch their weight. They are pretty good.

Eating them as I write this review....These are great if you are watching carbs/calories but still love chips. For me they totally take care of my chip craving and the 1.2 oz bags provide a good amount of food. I use these as part of a Medifast type diet, so I usually eat 4-5 packs of this type of food a day and have one full meal for dinner consisting of a protein and veggies. I like the Kay's Natural's food much better than most of the Medifast food and it works just as well in getting the weight off, at less than half the price and better taste! Highly recommended. I've been enjoying Kay's Naturals products on and off for about 3 years and I like everything they make that I have tried, which is most of it.

Kay's Natural continued to be along the years one of my go-to protein snacks option, but I'm still a little disappointed on the Protein Chips (and savory flavors in general) as they're far beyond the tastiness of the sweet cereals or Cookie Bites. While the `Chili Nacho` flavor is not bad, the taste didn't impressed me. There's some hints of chili nacho, but it's not really spicy, and it's quite mild on the cheese factor. Oddly, some bags (even in the same 6-pack) were a little bit salty than others. The crunch and serving size makes them a satisfying snack, I just wished the brand would improve the savory flavors. The protein chips overall make a decent savory protein snack and I do like the fact that they are soy based (I try to avoid whey based protein snacks, but popular options like Quest and SimplyProtein do taste better). Texture wise, the chips are quite dry, more like crisps than crunchy chips. I personally don't mind the dryness, but I see why some people might consider the texture cardboard like. For the portion size (34g), there are quite a lot of chips in the bag. I also find them quite a filling snack at 115 calories, but definitely not a meal replacement. I wouldn't call these chips necessarily a healthier snack, but the ingredients are not that bad (mostly soy protein isolate, along with flours and starches). The plastic bags are quite thick and sturdy, the chips are well protected and mostly whole. I regularly order from the brand, different flavors, and they are always delivered in good conditions. I would highly advise to double check that either Amazon or Kay's Naturals is the seller, some third parties sale stale / expired items.

I like the parmesan chips—they’re terrific!! The flavor of parm is not overwhelming so they go with anything and they are very crunchy— HOWEVER: the powdered flavoring/coating on the chili nachos was too much dry powder and there was so much coating it was hard to eat—suggestion: strengthen the flavor without over coating them w/dry pwder. They could have been a tiny bit spicier or something—not much taste.

Kay's Naturals are unlike anything I've ever had. I discovered them on Amazon and fell in love. this is the first savory Kay's product I've tried (I also loooove the almond protein puffs and the cinnamon toast pretzels) and was not disappointed! These little crackers are crunchy and full of flavor. Not too spicy and great cheesy flavor. Kay's snacks are not only a wonderful option for those following a gluten free diet, but also those always on the lookout for macro-friendly foods. Each pouch is a little over 100 cals, but 12 grams of protein! And quite a few pieces come in each pouch. You won't find that in a bag of Cheezits or Cheetos. BUY THESE!

These were surprisingly wonderful! They are more of a cracker than a chip and I have missed eating a fun cracker. I will buy more! The flavor is perfect! The calorie count is low. The protein count is high. The serving size is perfect, though I did not want the bag to end. What more could you ask for? (Chili Nacho Cheese) I want to try other flavors.

Picked these up on a whim when I saw them on sale. Bought 3 more packs when I ran out. These chips are really satisfying and delicious. As someone who doesn't like regular potato chips that much, these have a great crisp and a nice flavor while being a pretty hefty portion for the amount of calories.

As someone who takes nutrition and health quite seriously, I have had to make a lot of sacrifices when it comes to food. One of my biggest weaknesses are chips. So crunchy, so savory, so awful for you...usually. Alas, Kay's Naturals save the day. The nutrition facts are very "guilt-free" but without compromising on taste. My personal favorite is the chili nacho cheese variety. My only real complaint, and the reason for docking a star, is because the combination of them being somewhat on the salty side and the rough texture of the chip itself can sometimes leave my tongue feeling a bit raw. All in all, though, excellent product. I find myself reordering these chips over and over again.
