This product works well, but a few things are questionable. The first thing I asked myself was why did they give me three bottles of Isopropyl alcohol? if you read the directions you will only use 2-3 drops, I guess so you could clean your cassette heads 1000+ times. I got this cleaner for my cars tape deck I use an MP3 player/MP3 player attachment in my car. I have not owned a music cassette in over 20 years and I do not even know where to buy one, you may be asking yourself, why is he saying this? Well because I have no place to put the cleaning cassette because it did not come with a case (if you have an old music cassette use that case). The odds of the ribbon in the cleaning cassette getting damaged because of the lack of a case is very high and I would be hard pressed to find some that used up the gallon of alcohol before the cleaning tape broke. Long story short I wish they would take out one bottle and give you a case.

If you get any cassette player, you have to get a dependable head cleaner. This meets that criteria perfectly. What's really great is the fact that you get two bottles of cleaning fluid. It's more than you'll need,so you might want to share. Maybe. It's really easy to use. Just squirt a little on the tape, insert in your player and press play. It will run like a regular tape, except it cleans your tapehead. It's fast and neat. Works like a dream.

It works. It cleans the tape heads. However, there are a few drawbacks to the design of the product. Cleaning should be about 30 seconds. It has only about that much tape till it stops. The instructions say to add the solution to the open spot on the bottom of the tape. Which does work, but is not the most effective way to clean. That would only prove a small amount of cleaning. Instead it's better to add to the side of the cassette, where you can see how much tape is in there. However, since there isn't that much tape, this isn't easy. Still, I give them credit for leaving the side open. I think car tapedecks get extra dirty and really need cleaning. There is no easy other way to clean them on a car without one of these cleaning cassettez. On a regular stereo I would simply use a qtip with alcohol. Which is what the solutions are basically made of. I also will say, I would rather they didn't put 3 containers of cleaning solution. 1 and a lower price would have been better, or use the money to put more tape in the cassette.

My only issue with the product is that it did not seem to automatically stop after it was cleaning. I left the cassette in for 15-20 minutes and it never stopped “playing.” I looked on the back of the packaging to see if I had missed something, but it did not give any further specifications other than it stopping when it’s done. Maybe it just takes a long time to complete the run through? I’m not sure. It was not an issue for me as far as actually cleaning the cassette player in my car (works great).

I purchased this. It’s literal garbage. It worked once then the “tape” broke. It helped my situation somewhat but it almost got jammed in my car tape player. I just wish it didn’t look and feel like garbage. Would not buy again.

My girlfriend's car is a 2003 with Bose speakers, but tape audio sounded atrocious. To be fair, we were using a tape adapter in our cell phones' headphone jack, so I wasn't expecting the best quality sound -- but it shouldn't have sounded *that* bad. I bought this kit because we figured the tape player had never been cleaned in 15 years. It seems we figured right. I ran this tape cleaner through a few times -- the tape player auto-reverses to switch sides of the tape -- and had to eject the cleaner to apply more solution a couple times. It took about 10 minutes, but I finally got good-sounding music out of my tape player. I give this product five stars because, in a day where cassette cleaners are less and less relevant, this one got the job done. It's not perfect, but a few more cleanings might change that. Either way, I got a noticeable change from using this product.

I got what I needed for this. The product works as advertised and it was delivered within the expected time frame. I recommend it if you still have, like me, a cassette player! The product includes four bottles of cleaning fluid so it will last for quite a while in terms of usage.

The product is useful for rejuvenating old cassette recorders with defunct heads by cleaning the oxide deposits. This is found to do it exceedingly well.
