Works Good for GMRS
For the price you can't go wrong. I bought this to use in my truck for a GMRS HT radio. SWR was over 2:0 but after trimming 1/8 inch twice, the Antenna's SWR is 1:1 to 1:2. There's no adjustment other than trimming the top of the whip.

Good antenna
Nice antenna which works great. We listen to police/fire/airline dispatch and railroads. Brings in transmissions at great distances. One drawback- it has a PL-259 male plug which requires an adapter to connect to connect to a standard co-axial cable.

Nice antenna worth the money
This is a nice small little mag Mount multiband antenna. It's worth the money and the cables long enough to be utilized in a passenger vehicle. Bag networks well. I bought three

Find Something Better
The weakest magnetic mount I've ever found. Won't stay on a car in the driveway; certainly won't stay on a boat going fast enough to tow a skier.

Very good antenna
I really like the size of the antenna compared to some that are like 4ft long. It’s easy to get under trees on forest roads, etc. Also excellent quality product. Strong magnet. My only negative at all is the length of the cable, a bit short in my opinion. Overall very happy and would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Okay, first I want to thank everyone who answered my question about a ground plane? THANK YOU. This antenna went from "meh, it sucks" to working great with the simple application of a 5-dollar steel cookie sheet. One radio-guru-man said, "If it is a magnetic base, it's safe to assume you need a ground plane." He was right. If you buy this antenna and your going to use indoors like I do? Set the fecker on a steel baking sheet of some kind. Performance goes up drastically. I'd buy another one if I needed to.

Magnet is weak.
The antenna works great, the magnet not so much. The magnet is not very strong, and the antenna gets knocked over all the time. I have it stuck to a solid steel plate.
