Save your old clips
I received the hood lifts exactly when I was told they would arrive. There were for a 2004 Volvo XC90. You need one person to hold the hood until you get at least one working lift support on. Removing the old supports is easy, flat-head screw driver and the little clip comes off. Near impossible to get the little clip off the new supports without bending the clip. There are two clips for each support, one at the top and one at the bottom, bent at four new clips just removing them. I end up using the clips from the old hood lift supports. Finished the job in about 10min. Exact fit and works without any issues. Inspected the "old clips" on the new supports and they fit the same and nothing has hinted at coming off. The hood is raised at the end of everyday and stays open all night. These supports are quality and I expect them to last for years even being used everyday and even under the weight of the Volvo hood which is not light.

A perfect fit for 04 Volvo XC 90
Oh what a relief! The old prop rods were failing randomly and more seriously, falling over my head with slightest wind draft. These replacement prop-rods were a perfect fit and installation (removal of the old ones and putting up the new ones) was a breeze (thanks to YouTube). Now my front hood pops up easily and stays up until I want to lower it down. The price point at Amazon was quite reasonable compared to what the local dealership parts store was asking for a similar pair. Bought another pair for my tailgate lift as well. I'm very, very satisfied for going with these pairs. Worth every penny of it...so far.

Perfect fit and function
Perfect fit for my Volvo XC90 Came pre lubed inside ball sockets. Just clean your bonnet ball mounts and snap on new struts. Now they actually lift the weight of the bonnet all the way up - and it stays up!
