ALLPOWERS VOLIX P1800 Portable Power Station 1024Wh, 4x 1800W AC/140W USB-C

We recently purchased the new Allpowers 666 watts generator. It is ideal to charge our laptops and to run non usb appliances off grid. We’ve been happy with our previous Allpowers generator but couldn’t resist the upgrade when we realised it has much more capacity but can also run more powerful appliances.A key use case for us is to run an electrical air pump off it. This works really well as shown in the video attached, and can be sustained for a long time. Another important one for us is the electric cooling box, which can be plugged into the charger using the plug socket (which can run more than 19 hours on maximum mode or more than 99 hours on a lower setting!) or car charging socket. This way we can get the cool box running off the car when we’re on the move but very importantly keep things cool after we’ve arrived as well.Now that we’ve got a generator with a higher wattage output, we can’t wait to get a small electric travel kettle to make ourselves a cuppa on the move! We also love that the two light on the power pack are very bright and can be kept on for a very long period of time, which comes in super handy when we are camping.The ability to charge many appliances at the same time is incredibly handy, you can use the two socket ports at the same time as the USB (A and C) ports on the side as long as you stick to the 600w out which I believe is the limit (1000 peak for devices starting up).I am very impressed with the high speed charger that it comes with, which charges much faster than the previous generator. On top of this you can plug in a USB C charger at the same time to further speed up the charging, making it convenient to top up the generator when going to a place with mains power. Apparently the unit has power through mode so if you’re charging it (eg from solar) and using the power at the same time (eg charging your phone, laptop and running your cool-box) then it only uses the batteries for what power is not coming directly in to the generator. I believe this prolongs the life of the batteries inside the generator. This is not a feature I’ve tried but I am very tempted to get a solar panel and try this in the summer! Also it can be charged in the car, I believe there’s multiple cable options available. This is something We haven’t tried yet but have now ordered a cable to do so. All in all very convenient charging options to fit many different locations and circumstances.The only thing that is missing on the new unit is the ability to charge it wireless at the top, but to be fair we didn’t really use this much and the extra capacity and output more than makes up for this and I’m very pleased with it.

With the recent climate we bought a van for more local travel. We didn't want to go down the route of a full camper conversion because of the cost, but also the weight as the van was our only vehicle. This product is a great option for a minimal conversion. It can power our compressor fridge for a weekend as well as charging all of the usual devices. The lithium batteries are also much easier to maintain than a standard leisure battery system. As the photo shows, it's about the size of a small car battery so it's easy and light enough to just bring in the house to charge.It's also come in very useful around the house. I recently had some electrical work done whilst working from home. The battery was able to power my router, computer and monitors with no issues at all.Overall, it's a great device that I would fully recommend.

It does a great job and I'm happy with this purchase

Battery capacity was terrible, from full charge it ran out within 12 hours without powering anything. There was no persistent wifi or bluetooth connection, it turns it off after an hour and you have to press the button again after turning the battery back on. Battery was extremely heavy and very bad value for money, there are much better options out there.

Brilliant bit of kit for off grid in our motorhome, easy to use.

This arrived completely depleted in charge and wouldn't charge when I plugged the power adaptor in. I'd read this could also be simlutaneously charged via USBC so I plugged a 10W Apple charger in. This seemed to kick the charge process into life and the unit began charging. It took just under 5 hours to completely charge. I purchased this ALLPOWERS Portable Generator 606Wh/164000mAh Power Station for use in my Renault Twizy as a power source for my 400W ceramic heater plus powering many other gadgets I have in the vehicle. This can run multiple devices simultaneously and works an absolute treat. I get over an hour with the heater on full power, though don't need it for that long as the car is warm within 5 minutes. I simltaneously heat my car seat via the 12v adaptor and can charge my mobile phone and GPS via the USB sockets. All in all really pleased with the performance, functionality, size and weight.

If you are looking for a bit more than the smaller ALLPOWERS unit, this might be a good choice. The notable upgrades are the AC inverter (300W to 500W continuous) and the battery storage increase (372Wh to 666Wh). I'm really pleased that they kept the USB-C PD charging, so you can still charge your devices and charge the 666Wh itself via the same port! The Bluetooth app remains and still works ok, but you need to be fairly close to the unit for it to work consistently.The only things to consider are that this is a slightly bigger unit in size and weight to the more compact ALLPOWERS alternative, and wireless charging doesn't feature on the 666Wh. Neither of these are issues for me personally as I like being able to run more powerful devices for longer.So, first impressions are good and I'll continue to put it through its paces to see how it goes (post updates here if things change). Like some other reviewers, my battery arrived completely dead, but I managed to revive it by charging it for 24 hours. The battery packs an amazing amount of power for its size, and it kept a travel fridge going for more than 24 hours on a recent trip (with plenty of charge left). One thing that concerns me is that the charging plug is loose and only works intermittently. If this plug breaks how on Earth do I return the battery or have it repaired?
