Excellent optics and really good value.
Having researched the most recent generation of monoculars, this one is to my mind, by far the best value for money out there in this price range. There are all sorts of outrageous claims made in the ads, for items that are at best described as "optical junk", all manner of ridiculous magnifications claimed that can never work, or "quality prisms" on instruments that don't have any prisms etc., etc. However, this neat item is the real thing. The lenses have a subtle full multicoating, to enable maximum light transfer. The quality, but unobtrusive, BAK 4 prisms (general the best kind) do a really good job, and the magnification and focusing mechanisms have a positive feel to them. The Claimed magnification is 10x to 30x. I feel by comparison to my other equipment, that the maximum figure is probably nearer to 26 to 28 times, but the difference is really insignificant. The mono stays pretty much in focus as the magnification is changed (which is rare at these prices) and there is little to no image distortion at the image edge, and no real coloured "fringing" either. A very good unit at this sort of price, with a really bright clear image, FAR better than many considerably more expensive models. Initially, you need to pay attention to the instructions on setting-up and focusing this instrument, but once you have tried a few times this all comes as second nature. The weather proof body of the mono is an Aluminium/Magnesium alloy, which means it is light but strong, and the entire item has a very good quality feel to it. The simple but useful canvas storage case, and the lens caps, also give a nice sense of straightforward quality to this monocular. A genuinely good instrument at a very good price - especially as I bought it on an "Amazon Prime Day" with a "one-off" price reduction - Excellent !

Very good bang for the buck!
Overall, it's been a good value purchase for the money! I'm sure it's pretty hard to find better scopes in this price range. It's quite portable which was my main priority. The only downside is the settings which is very fiddly and you'll need some time to experiment with focusing it. You'll need both hands/fingers! The attached manual is rather useless so you'll need to find it out yourself, but after this `running in`, it appears quite simple to use. The 30x magnification is a bit overstatement, but still you can zoom in on surprisingly deeply. Obviously, the picture will become `shaky` around after 20x magnification, so you'll definitely need a tripod there - neither this or a phone holding clip is in the pack, which is unfortunate. Forget this scope with a hand tremor, I'm afraid! Good low-light usability though, down to its good quality lens. Highly recommended guys! PROS: - Low cost - good value - Strong magnification power - Portable with good build quality - Also fine with wearing glasses - Not much distortion in the corners CONS: - Rather fiddly setting up - Both hands are needed to use - Less stable picture with higher zooms - a tripod is a must - No accessories in the pack

Really good quality for the price.
This is one of the items where I read reviews and think some people must have received a different item. The monocular is compact, sturdy with good optics. It requires some adjustment in use, this is an optical necessary. In order to be small enough to fit in my gloves box or hang comfortably in it's case off my belt the monocular has to be extended while you use it. At 40mm it's bright and clear in moderate to good light but will struggle fully zoomed in low light conditions, again that's physics, if you need high zoom in low light you need a bigger, heavier more cumbersome scope. I'm not sure it fully achieves 30x zoom but it's close and, again any higher zoom and you will need a tripod mounted scope. My interest is birds and wildlife and it's smaller and lighter , easier to use and as good if not better optics than much more expensive binoculars. It doesn't compete with a scope but I can't just carry a scope around me with the convenience of this. I haven't dropped it, but if feels like it would cope and at this price I'm not going to cry if I lose it or do damage it. I think it's a bargain

Pocket size and easily portable
Good quality and clear optics. Hard to hold steady so will need something to steady the view at distance.

Excellent value for money
These monocular was purchased for my wife. They arrived on time. having used them I think they are amazingly good ,the image even at maximum magnification the quality is very good and Sharp, they appear to be fairly robust. We have dropped the monocular once onto grass, and no damage occurred. If you wish to be really finicky you may say that they are a little bit difficult to focus. But I think this is to do with their small size of the monocular, but I am being really finicky about this. They fit on a normal tripod If required. If you want a good quality monocular at a very Reasonable price these may be the ones for you. I would definitely recommend them for quality and cost effectiveness .

Best option for the money
Excellent image quality for the size, specs and price. Very good in comparison to similarly priced examples (I have experience with several.) The focus is fast and intuitive in my opinion but some people need to be shown how to use it. I tend to use it on 10x if low light or unstable position, and 20-25x if I need greater magnification. It will get darker and more shaky at max which is not a fault of the product. I use this mainly in my role as a shooting instructor and can clearly see holes in black aiming marks at 10m. Also, .22 calibre holes in white targets at 100yd in less than favourable lighting. It has lived in my car in all weathers for 3 years and going strong. Part of the housing near the objective lens crumbled early on but mo more since and doesn’t affect function. I’ve seen another which has cracks in the same place but no crumbling. That one has been in use for even longer. Not sure how well it would hold up to a drop, lots in this price range use the ability to focus. The only other gripe is the lens caps are not attached so a bit fiddly and prone to loss. Not 5 stars for these reasons but thoroughly recommend and very good for the money.

Good product and good value.
Clear and bright image. Easy to use. Compact and light when it’s closed down. It ticks all the boxes.

Very Good Optics
OK, I confess to owning some exspensive powerful high end optics for viewing the moon and planets. I bought the monocular to see if it would be a lightweight option for when out and looking at nature when I'm on the move. I didn't expect much from the monocular. However, for me the optics are very good. Sure there's some shake at + 30 and you'll never ever see craters on the moon; that's not its purpose. You can attach a light portable tripod to it so no shake. Considering the other qulaity optics I use this is a good purchase for me.

Way Better Than Expected — Very Nice Unit
Bought this over a month ago to field trial before giving as Christmas gift to daughter (wants to bird watch and duck hunt with dad). Am pleasantly surprised at the quality and performance. As an outdoorsman I have very high-end optics (Zeiss, Leupold, Nikon) so I know good optic performance. While I can’t speak to ruggedness or endurance of this Aurosports monocular (only time will tell), I will attest to its optical performance. It is bright and crisp throughout it’s power range. There is a bit of minor bleeding or blur (some may not even notice) at extreme outer edges of scope but I don’t find that to be a problem since object in view will most always be centered. This is just a NICE. LITTLE. UNIT. I saw some reviews with questions/confusion about ability to focus and effective use on targets close-in. The unit DOES focus, just learn how. (Think: retractable telescopic “pirate scope” and you’ll figure it out.) And it will handle targets as close as 6-7 yards in (10x). And 30x max zoom is just as clear (note at 30x you’ll need surgeon-stable hands or a tripod to stabilize). Don’t get your heart set on perfect directions, they lack. Christmas morning I had both my 20-something kids try the scope, independently, no directions. They both figured out how to extend, adjust 10x-30x power, and focus. Ok, they didn’t notice the eye cup. But that’s just an option to use or not (rotates CCW to extend the eye cup). They both used binoculars before so those basics of use apply here as well. And....was a factor in their ability to quickly figure-out the unit. This unit is more than worth the price. I’d buy it again without hesitation.
