Very enjoyable to do and good quality.
We're fairly new to jigsaws but my husband and I have really enjoyed doing this puzzle although, as newbies, we found the circular shape challenging. We were amused to finish it earlier and find one piece left over. Somebody somewhere is missing a white piece with a star on it - and not an edge piece either. Still, it was better than finishing it and finding we were a piece short. Will now be looking for more of Gibson's puzzles.

A fun puzzle despite a number of flaws
This 49cm (19.3")diameter 500 piece jigsaw was made in England. It was complete. The delightful illustration was was originally created as the book cover for Josie Shenoy non-fiction picture book, ‘The Buildings That Made London’ which was written by historian David Long. The problem with this is that the colours are somewhat muted and the drawings are fine lined, whereas for jigsaws overstated and vibrant colours are the norm with coarse lines. Think of Trevor Mitchell, Tony Ryan, Aimee Steward and others. The pieces are 2mm thick, but a few had not been properly separated. The poster was pathetic. It was smaller than the box cover illustration and was not as well printed. This is a circular puzzle with the roughly rectangular pieces set in concentric circles. In order to cope with the growing number of pieces in each circle as one moves outwards, the designers have include a number of pieces with five connectors, one on each side, one on the inside edge and two on the outside edge. This means that the pieces do not grow in size but grow in number with the successive circles. There is little or no variation in connectors. Although this makes for a strong jigsaw which can be lifted up, it does mean that misfits are possible, and a nuisance when they occur. Fortunately the level of detail limits their number. I built the jigsaw from the outside in, building along the Thames River is another possible approach. All in all, this was fun to build despite its flaws. Four and a half stars out of five (rounded up as half-stars are not possible).

Tolles Puzzle, durch die runde Form und die zum Teil sehr ungewöhnlichen Teile etwas schwieriger als ein „normales“ Puzzle. Sehr gut verarbeitet. Hat mir viel Spaß gemacht.

Our family has a puzzle going during the fall and winter seasons. My daughter rec'd this one from Santa and we are starting it next week. Pieces are sturdy and easy to see design.
