Complicated but awesome
Really cool crafts. Hard to make for a 10 year old though.

Awesome craft book
with some Harry Potter crafts that are more adult skill level. It's a beautiful book with very complete instructions and some cut outs and stickers in the back to use for some of the crafts. I will say that some of these are not cheap crafts to make if you have to go and buy everything from scratch. If you have a ton of crafting supplies on hand, you probably won't think it's that bad. For example, one project requires a wood burning tool. I just spent $65 on supplies for a couple of projects I want to do first, so I'll wait to buy the wood burning tool and do that one some other time. Really love the book though! I am so excited to make some of these things!Edit: In response to the review complaining about templates. There are some projects that have punch out pieces that you use to make the project and they refer to these as templates. But there are also templates that you trace with tracing paper and I'm sure you could trace the pieces of the punch out ones to make more of them as well.

Terrible horrible awful instructions
TL;DR: I would NOT purchase this book again or recommend it to others. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the projects are well designed. I gave it 2 stars instead of 5 because the instructions are so poorly done.TIP: For the projects that you punch out and put together, use double-sided tape or glue dots instead of regular glue. It will make the projects MUCH easier.I am a 63 year old who has done crafts all my life, of all kinds, sewing, jewelry, polymer clay, metals, resin, paper galore, and on and on. I've done crafts from kits, from books, from the internet and from my imagination. I have written instructions on how to do various projects. ANY YET, I have struggled to do the owl mobile and the popping from projects from this book. Both are items you pop out from the included pages and the design of those were very well done. However, the instructions are MADDENING. They include items in the "materials needed" that you don't need and leave out items that you do need. The pieces could easily have been labeled on the back side with their letter designation but were not. On the frog, the ways to glue things could have been numbered which would have helped a lot - glue tab 12 to space 12 - this would have helped especially with the "supports". The diagrams are absolutely awful. In the owl, complete steps were left out and several steps were out of order. With the frog, they tell you to glue this down without explaining WHICH WAY to orient it. Facing up or down? Toward the front or the back? Insert the rubber band from the back or the front? And did I mention - the diagrams are absolutely awful.I bought this to make the projects with my 7 year old granddaughter, whom I've done crafts with since she was 3. These were NO FUN because there was very little she could do and I spent so much of my time trying to NOT be frustrated.

Found projects I like!
I began buying all the books in these “crafting” “diy” series and I’m very satisfied ! The most amazing project here is Patronus Charm Lighted Box. The best thing about the book is that it has step to step explanations, stencils and even 32 punch out templates! It is very fun crafting with it ! (Photos attached are my favorite projects !)

Fun, Instructive Book - One Caution
I am really enjoying the projects in this book. Although, the instructions in the book are more suitable for adults, some of the projects can be done with younger children with adult instruction and supervision.Just one note of caution. The templates for the first chapter of the book do not appear to be available on the website listed in the book, which is disappointing because the Hedwig mobile and chocolate frog boxes can't be made easily without them.Still, this book will give you lots of ideas for fun gifts for the Harry Potter fans in your life, so I think it is still worthwhile.

DIY Lifer: one of the best crafting books
This book is brilliant. The directions are clear, the items are pretty cool, not boring. Nothing is a basic kindergarten craft, nor are they so complex that you need significant skill. They all match the theme perfectly. It's really great that the back has all of these punch out pieces for making things. We are scanning some into the computer so that we can print and make more. Love it so much!

Good but misleading
Projects inside the book are detailed however not all the materials are there to make all the projects. I understand putting your own flare on things but for the price I expected more. Would not purchase again
