A year later and 60 bulbs going strong
I have purchased 60 of these bulbs and love them. I have had broken ones on every shipment and every time I talk to Amazon and they gave me a credit for the broken bulbs. It sounds like most people get bulbs sent to them from the factory. These have made my garage and Airbnb so much brighter and more joyful to be inside. it takes me about 10 minutes for every four bulb fixture that I install them in. I have other bulbs that need LEDs but I’m waiting for the cost to come down because I don’t use them very often in storage rooms and attics. I feel as though the company could put more information on the standard T8 wattage and energy savings on the page to sell more of their product. From what I can tell it’s about half the power? Per bulb? It’s definitely more light and a more enjoyable light. One of the best features most people aren’t talking about Hiar is that the instant on! They turn on instantly where is so many fluorescent tubes have to click a few times and pop on and then warm up before they even bright. These babies are the stuff! I’m down to needing about 18 more of these, and I think I’m going to just wait until the next sale as there are other companies selling them cheaper now. But I’m sticking with this one. They work and work really well after a whole year. Not one bad bulb yet which means not one bad LED driver! This is huge, especially with some thing that can take such a variable amount of power. Hopefully the entire world grasp this technology and keeps replacing all the fluorescent gas tube bulbs. I wasn’t a big fan of the CFL lightbulbs that came out in between incandescence and LEDs. They were junk and such a waste of resources, time, money, and mercury into the environment. I’ve also spent a lot of money on other LED bulbs that claim to be 50,000 our bulbs and didn’t last more than a year or two. I know it’s not the diode itself, but generally the power conversion/drivers. Once the entire industry globally gets providing clean power to the LEDs, they will last a lot longer Got into a good routine with replacement: 1) turn off all power to lights; 2) remove covers; 3) cut positive and negative wires at ballast, cut old negative wires as short as possible to old tombstones; 4) remove ballast and tombstone plates on one end; 5) replace with non-shunted tombstones on plates; 6) wire all similar wires together from tombstones; 7) replace plates with new tombstones and connect similar color wires; 8) replace covers; 9) install lights with correct ends into non shunted tombstones.

Easier to retrofit my old system than I thought
I have a newer house but the electrician had fluorescent lights left over from another job and it saved us some money. 5 years later I wanted to upgrade them as they were using a lot more energy than I had thought. The old system had shunted tombstones and ballasts. The good news is the new lights need way less wiring than the old ones did. Once I did the first one it was time consuming but quite simple. I was actually able to remove the shunt from the old tombstone on the powered end and just cut the wires on the other end and leave than tombstone shunted. I have 24 tubes, so it still uses quite a bit of power (albeit about half of what it replaced), but it's brighter and won't smash and poison me if it gets hit. Overall it was worth doing, and was easier than I expected.

Don't know why I waited so long
I have a 10 fluorescent light fixtures in my basement so I had to buy 40 of these to cover all of the fixtures. My wife and I followed the instructions and were able to bypass the ballasts and swap out all of the bulbs in about an hour. Neither of us are electricians and it was pretty easy. The first one took the longest because we had to really understand what we were doing. After that the others moved much quicker as we got the hang of it (me bypassing the ballast and her putting the bulbs in). These were way brighter that I expected so we are actually only using 2 per fixture instead of the 4 bulbs that were in them before, but I love that. And not I just have a bunch of extras just in case.

Caught Fire! DO NOT PURCHASE
We bought a box of 30 of these in November 2025 from Amazon. We installed three of them per the company's instructions. - One worked for one day and then would not turn back on. - The other two caused the fixture they were in to catch fire! Now the company won't refund my money. They insist Amazon is responsible.

Make sure you check your batch of tubes before 30 days are up.
I like how easy they are to install and are very bright. The bad is one of them is broken and I am past the 30 day warranty . The bulbs are still a great deal.

5000k clear
Converted my 8’fixtures to hold 4-4’ tubes in 2019, it’s 2026 best lights ever. I have 60 bulbs and all are still working great. No more humming, flickering or replacing bulbs all the time.
