The underside was wet in the morning. I thought this was waterproof and would protect the furniture. Any similar experiences?

Mine protects the furniture, unless it is displaced by the wind . Then the rain can get under the cover.

My table with chairs tucked in is 96" in diameter. The chairs are 34" high but it's ok if some of the legs show. Should I buy the 96 " or 110" cover?

I would buy the 96 inch. That gives you a drop of 28 inches.
