Hendrix Drums Snare Drum Head (SW100B)

I have a high-end Yamaha recording Custom kit and recently did a complete strip down for cleaning, new heads, and added these nylon washers. A lot of drummers are raving about these so I thought "why not as I did my upgrading.I'm not a pro drummer and I don't have the ear 2to determine whether these actually improve the sound of the drums. I'm sure it improves the ease of turning the lugs, and probably helps keep the lugs in tune easier. I don't see any way that these could have a negative effect on your equipment.Minus one star because these are definitely overpriced. You have to know that they only cost a fraction of a penny apiece to make!

UPDATE- I got my basic Hendrix washers so took these off. The sleeves had all been bent & twisted due to restricted size of the holes in the hoops.I actually bought these not noticing the clearly visible sleeves. My error. I was intending just the washer but I will go ahead & review these. The washer part is fine but the ferrule/sleeve I see it having no useful purpose. I find the sleeve a tuning hindrance from friction against the rod. I will order what I meant to order; just a nylon washer.

Heard about these sleeves on my last custom snare drum build. Ordered the black sleeves to blend in with the black lug tensioners and black nickel hardware. Very nice product and will continue to use them on all my future snare drum builds as well as retrofitting all my toms.

Good purchase, however if you have vintage style bass drum claws they don't seat properly so I couldn't use them on the bass drum. Otherwise they seat well on the rest of the drums.

My kit plays better for some reason...

Work well, especially on low tensioned tom and bass drum heads.
