When carrying the cat in it, does the bottom part stay flat? I'm picturing my cat getting "rolled up" in it as I'm carrying it. Thanks!

I own one and my cat is pretty large and fluffy! The bottom stays straight and my cat goes in it even when she doesn’t have to!

Does the small carrier fit under the seat on the airplane?

My cat peed in the carrier and now it smells awful. Has anyone ever washed the entire carrier in the washing machine? Thank you.

I know you asked a long time ago but for anyone else looking at answers, yes. I put a plusher bed on top of what comes with it. When my kitty peed in it it was on that washable plusher bed. However...I removed the wood and foam from the zippered bottom that comes with it and put the whole carrier and the bed cover in the washer, not a front load, washed it on delicate with normal detergent plus lysol sanitizer laundry additive and then dried it all on air dry. It smells like new and came out fully intact no damage. So I would recommend a puppy pad or something as a top layer for your pet to be on in case of accidents but yes you can wash the whole thing and dry on delicate.

will this fit a cat that is 20 inches long?

Yes. Most cats can "compact" themselves, or curl up. Mine fits in nicely and she likes it.

This has made vet visits more comfortable for our cat and less stressful for us.

Excellent carrier, prior to this carrier we used a large plastic animal carrier with a metal door. My cat would hear me open the door and immediately sprint the other way. With this new fabric carrier, I'm surprised how much more relaxed he is and willing to go in. The top opens up so its easy to get him in. Once in I found him sleeping and comfortable. Happy with my purchase and it stores away nicely in my apartment.
