This is the third machine I’ve had this month and I don’t know if other people have the same problem but I decided to do another reading and it was completely different to the first so I did another and that to was different (each going down considerably). I’m pre diabetic so I thought I would keep track of my blood sugar but now I’m totally confused. Am I just unlucky and getting dodgy machines? Am I supposed to take the first reading as a true reading? I wonder how many diabetics take just one reading and think their blood sugar is good/bad. Do I buy an expensive machine to get the accuracy I need? Or are all machines like the ones I have purchased and you’re not supposed to do more than one reading at a time and take that as an accurate reading. I need a machine because I don’t want to go from prediabetic to type two the next time I get a blood test

I don't know if I got a faulty device, or the fact it was thrown through my security gate to land on a chair in my porch, but it doesn't work properly, the strip that you put into the machine doesn't take the blood sample all the way in, and I have to keep pricking another finger and putting another strip into the device and trying again, I have used 10 strips and two worked, not happy at all.
