Gorgeous finish – transforms floors beautifully!
I’ve used the Hard Wax Oil 3071 in Honey Satin Finish on all the floors of my Victorian house, and I couldn’t be happier! The colour is warm and rich, giving the wood a stunning, natural glow while enhancing the grain. Application was straightforward, and the oil penetrates well, leaving a smooth, durable finish that’s resistant to spills and everyday wear. It dries nicely without sticky residue, and the satin sheen gives a classy, timeless look. Pros: Beautiful warm colour, durable, easy to apply, enhances natural wood grain Cons: None — performs exactly as described Recommendation: Perfect for anyone wanting a professional, long-lasting finish on wooden floors. Truly transforms old floors into something special!

The simplest, most professional finish to apply
The outstanding feature of an oil, like this one, is that it makes it very easy to get an even, professional finish on wood. Of course it depends what wood you are treating as to what colour you get. Honey adds a small amount of honey colour to the wood. and in my opinion is the only colour that is suitable for brand new pine. New pine is really difficult to colour, and overdoing it makes it look horrible. The Honey makes it look a little older without looking false. Don't expect the colour on the tin, it's much lighter than that. Only if the wood has a little colour to begin with, will it achieve the colour on the tin. Anyway, this stuff is expensive for a reason. Recommended.

Nice colour on new pine floorboards
Wanted this for new pine floorboards. The photo is of a test plank which hadn't been sanded to remove the rough ridges, so the finished article will be more even. The tint comes out a nice light oak colour. Bear in mind that if you use this on old pine boards, even if sanded back, the colour is likely to come out much darker. The recommendation from Osmo is to use only one coat of the tint oil, wait 24 hours and then apply a coat of their clear satin oil on top. I believe this provides a more durable surface. It might also help to protect the tint from darkening through oxidation, but I am just guessing on this.

Great product to maintain and improve your wooden floor
Easy to use and minimal prep required. Have used previously on newly laid wooden flooring and has great longevity. This purchase was used on existing floor that needed renovation. It has brought the wood back to life, deepened the colour and protected the wood by waterproofing

Fantastic oil
A little goes a long way, I’ve been using these oils for about a year now and seem to hold up very well. Love the fact you can touch up if needed.

I'll be sticking with Bona products in the future.
I've bought Osmo products before and wished I had stuck with Bona products to seal a newly laid floor. The oil is too finicky to apply and needs to be applied very thinly otherwise you'll end up with steak marks that are almost impossible to remove. The key is to apply so thinly and wipe off immediately any excess, something that isn't made 100% clear in the instructions. There are now some areas in the corner of a room that have uneven staining (fortunately behind some furniture, but I know they are still there). I'll stick with a Bona finish in the future.
