Mach 5 Cable Slide Brown

I got this to replace the manufactures original cable guard. On average I ca but 200 arrows through my bow a week. So this can take a toll on a cable guard with the pressure and sliding. Even with constant waxing of the string it with still wear. So I do not really see the value add on this for the price. The Teflon is on the guard side of easy of sliding. You may pick up a 1 or 2 fps due to the Teflon. The composite polymer where the cables actual ride in appear to be no different than other quality guards at half the price. In conclusion this is still a good guard but not worth the extra money for the hype.

Well my old cable slide broke a while back and I've been meaning to replace it for a while, I'm glad i bought this one it's definately a nicer quality then what i had before as far as stability goes, however I didn't give it 5 stars because it just isn't as quiet as advertised, and i haven't seen any audible diferance between this one and my old one. However it's really not a big deal to me and I'm sure there are things I could do to make it quieter. But if you're looking to replace your old cable slide for a new one this one will work just fine and it's relatively cheaper than most other slides.

I bought this cable slide after my `factory installed' one broke. I figured I needed to spend a few extra bucks to get something more durable. When I read the description I was sold: Supposedly it makes your bow a tad faster and quieter...we, bow hunters, are all about that! Well, after shooting my bow equipped with the Mach 5, I'm not seeing any difference in speed and noise. It's not better or worse, it appears to be very much the same. Now, I'm just talking about what I feel. I don't have actual numbers (decibel, fps) to support this. I guess I was hoping the Mach 5 was so great I would notice a difference with my cheap original slide; but I didn't. I'm still hoping it's at least more durable. Time will tell. If you want to buy a Mach 5, don't buy the camo version; buy this one. It's the same product but less expensive.

Works great I used it to replace the one on my diamond infinity edge. Quited down some of the noise from my cables but only in the higher frequency.

Very fuctional, better that the little black piece of junk that came on my bow. It looks good and performs well, there is a difference in pulling with this and my old one. I would recommend this, Alpine makes a very good product!
