20 Climbing Rocks!
We got this so our kids can climb the tree to go on their zipline. They love it, it keeps them moving and staying active outside. I really like that they have 20 rocks and 6 strinps, It was really easy to put together and easy fasten tight around the trees. Also the trees don't get damaged using them. It was a great deal too.

Not just for kids or rock climbers

The kids love it!
I installed all six on a tree in about an hour or less. Had to use a ladder for the uppermost two. The ratchet straps are standard, like you'd buy for tying down a load on a truck. My only concern is that they're not particularly robust. I mean, they withstood my determined tightening, and they work to keep the climbing holds stable, but I don't think they'll weather very well. I would recommend bringing them in for the winter. When the straps get too weathered, I expect they can be replaced from a hardware store. The kids really do like them, but I probably need to build a tree house so they can use them to actually get somewhere, not just climb up and down a tree trunk. Note: I would suggest paying attention to the roughness or smoothness of the tree bark. I wouldn't install these on a tulip poplar - I think they might slide down a bit. I put them on a red oak. I did not use the bolts that are also supplied for installation on a wall.

Straps are too small
Straps are too small to use on any tree big enough to climb, had to buy galvanized lag bolts for almost $1 each which got pretty expensive

Great fun
The kids loved these and it was exactly what we needed to help them get up to some hammocks and cargo nets we had set up. We did put some felt under the straps to just help protect the trees a bit more but it wasn't totally needed. Just make sure you have the right sized trees for these to work well.
