Frenchic 750ml Al Fresco Range Blackjack

Excellent paint! I've painted all my solid wood doors downstairs. They were all white but I wanted to spice things up. I have a really light sanding and then used a little brush for the lines in the door and a foam roller. I did two or three coats. First coat definitely looks scary, but have faith! I then noticed a couple of bits of scratching a few weeks later and stupidly decided to put clear topcoat on which gave it a shine even though it was supposed to be soft sheen. I hated it so went back in with another coat of this and I can't express enough how much better it looks! Nice deep matt black. I love it. It does dry quick but needs a few weeks to properly cure. I think I would do this again and add topcoat then another layer of this for extra durability though. Only issue is dusty marks do show up, but it's waterproof so a quick wipe with a damp cloth and it's perfect again. I am thinking of doing the bannister next and may end up doing the doors upstairs too because it just looks stunning. I left the door frames white and I've used dulux egyptian cotton on my walls. I am in love!

Fantastic paint! Virtually no odour, covers brilliantly in only 2 coats. It really is Lazy paint. No sanding, just cleaned my units with sugar soap. Let dry. Then applied paint with a brush. Brushes cleaned easily in soapy water. Project finished in 1 day as this amazing paint is dry in 1 hour.

Love frenchic paint, price was a bit high, but I needed it quick so I paid the price!

Ordered yesterday and received this morning in good condition ie no dents or leaks. Not too runny so careful brush loading ensures no spills. Paint lays nicely and dries to an excellent finish. No preparation needed other than cleaning surface. Easy to clean brush and fingers with soapy water. Expensive but worth it. Don't know yet how will weather so if not good will report back with update.

I love Frenchic, and, having used other shades in the Alfresco range, knew this would just what I needed for my decorating job. The Alfresco range has a primer within the paint, so no lengthy prep to do, just clean the surface with sugar soap, dry and apply the paint in thin coats. It's self-levelling so easy to use for even the most novice of painters. I used blackjack to paint the woodwork on my hall stairs and landing, and the matt finish looks so much more sophisticated than gloss. It dries quickly and is very durable, just be sure to be careful with it for a couple of weeks until it has fully hardened. A 750ml tin goes a long way with this paint.
