The iPad mini being his latest victim. A quick search of replacement costs and I quickly realized it would be cheaper to just buy a whole new iPad mini vs paying to have the screen replaced. My logic here was while I've never replaced an iPad screen - and I was admittedly scared about doing it - if I broke the iPad I'd just buy a new one and give our 2 year old a book. Can't shatter a book, bucko! From start to finish with a tutorial up on my computer, I'd say this took about an hour. The only tool I needed that was not provided was a heat gun but I am pretty sure a hair dryer would suffice if you don't have one handy. The key to this whole thing is be gentle and take your time. If you just try to rush through it or have giant hands then this is not the product for you. I suspect a lot of the negative reviews (phantom touches etc) are due to poor loos/connections. You need to assure it is seated properly and when you're removing the original digitizer you need to be very gentle while prying off. These are VERY sensitive components. So if you're not sure about whether or not you can do it but you have replaced a screen on an Apple device before - you can pull this off. Don't worry. It's not too bad. I'd say it was easier than the iPhones I've done in the past. I was scared of the glue. DON'T FEAR THE GLUE! It comes off pretty easily and with the prying tools provided it's actually one of the easier parts of the whole process. If you've never replaced an Apple Device Screen before and you're just scared to tinker - let a shop replace it for you or buy a new one. I've seen some negative reviews after a month or two saying the digitizer crapped out so if I experience that I will be sure to update. But I'd hedge a bet our son manages to destroy it before it can crap out. Review: Broke soon after return policy expired - I received his product on 6/24 and it installed easily and performed well. The return policy expired on 7/25 and it had still showed no issues. It is 8/13 and the home button has since caved in and the digitizer has become increasingly unresponsive. A stylus is required for use, and even wth that it's glitchy. Super disappointed. Total bummer. Considering how rarely I use my iPad and how I have cared for it since having to replace the screen. This product wore out very quickly.

Quality isn't exactly up to Apple standards but thankfully neither is the price.
The Good Screen looks and feels authentic. Almost all tools needed for installation are included (except a heat gun). Price is acceptable. The Bad The Home Button mechanism is utter crap! Sometimes it's hard to press and other times it sticks at the bottom. If I had it to do over I would have transplanted the Home Button from the original screen onto the new one. The Ugly After installation the screen was not flush with the bottom lip (probably from left over adhesive residue I failed to scrap off or possibly from the home button unit being too thick). I attempted to rectify this situation by pressing really hard with my thumb where the screen meets the metal lip. This caused a thumb sized fracture two inches to the left of the crappy home button. Luckily for me it does not affect usability and will be totally hidden after installing this case. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015A3GMEO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 TL;DR Good Screen. +1 star Decent Tools. +1 star Acceptable Price. +1 star Relatively easy installation +1 star Home Button mechanism needs major improvement. -1 Star This could easily be a 5 star product if XIAO MO GU would use the same Home Button assembly that Apple uses.

Useless without home button working
Touch function works but the Home button doesn't work.

Very satisfied and it came a day early!
It came undamaged and a day early. It installed just fine and worked well (as much as I could test in my limited time with the repaired ipad mini 2. I am very satisfied with the product and the tools it came with were much better than other providers I have bought this screen from before. I might have paid $3 more but it is well worth it since the tools were so much better.

These work great for the first month or two
I've bought at least 4 of these now. These work great for the first month or two. Then the touch screen starts to go crazy with random touches everywhere, and the device becomes unusable again. They aren't too bad to install but you have to be very careful not to lose the small screws, or break any of the wiring harnesses.

WOW!
I've used several manufacturers and many apple after market replacement products but XIAO MO GU's products are by far the best and most compatible product out there. Everything fit just right, the adhesive glue strip that comes included works perfectly and finally the operation of the product and quality is superb. I will definitely keep using them recommend them to anyone. Heck I would use their product to replace the president's ipad screen.great job XIAO MO GU! Ps. If you think this review was a bit too much then you have no idea how hard is to find an affordable yet flawless product that works just like the original.
