I was looking for a fun new party game that was a little different from the usual, and Hues and Cues was the perfect find. It's such a unique and creative concept that had everyone laughing and thinking. The functionality is brilliant. The game is so simple: you give one or two-word cues to get people to guess a specific color on the giant board. It's amazing to see how everyone's minds work so differently. The ease of use is fantastic; the rules are so simple we were able to start playing in minutes. With a player count of up to 10 people, it's perfect for any gathering. You can tell this is a good quality product. The board is huge and the colors are all very vibrant and well-printed. The cards and cones are also made from a durable material. The size of the game board is great for a group. For the price, this game is an incredible good value because it provides hours of hilarious and unique entertainment that you can enjoy over and over again. This is a must-have for any game night!

Played this with friends and family over christmas, we found that while the game itself is good there was too much time spent waiting for people to think of the 'perfect' word to describe a colour, leading to a huge slowdown of gameplay, this was resolved by implementing a 1 minute timer. As for colours, the board is largely dominated by blues/purples/greens and there are a lot of intermediate tones that are a little 'washed out' looking, which makes coming up with an appropriate word to describe a little difficult The rules themselves are very easy to explain and understand, and the game generally goes fast with the minor ammendment listed above Game pieces are sturdy and of good quality as far as I can tell, the 'scoring square' did fall apart a few times but this was remedied with a tiny drop of PVA glue on each corner

Hue and Cue is such a fun and creative party game! I really like how it gets everyone thinking about colors in unique ways—it’s amazing how differently people interpret the same clue. The rules are easy to learn, and it works well with groups of all sizes, making it perfect for game nights. It’s fast, engaging, and always sparks laughter and conversation. Overall, a great party game I highly recommend!

Summary: Hues and Cues is a well-made board game with excellent colour quality and a clean, attractive design. It was bought after my daughter saw it trending on TikTok and wanted to try it herself. While I haven’t personally played it yet, the build quality and presentation are impressive, and it looks like a game that would work well for family or group settings. No issues to report so far, but I will update the review once it has been played more extensively.

Bought for a 13 year old's birthday. It was desperately wanted and on her list. Played it last night. You have to choose a colour off a card and describe that colour. Players earn points by guessing which colour on the grid is closest to the colour that is being described. Their playing piece needs to be within a radius of the described colour. After a few goes it gets difficult trying to think of descriptions and I found it quite boring. 3 of us played and the game took almost 2 hours. We gave 3 clues per card. Will try it with 2 clues next time.

Good party game, great for all the family, easy to pick up so your friends don't have to sit there waiting ages while you read the rules.

J'ai acheté Hues and Cues pour renouveler un peu nos soirées jeux, et quelle excellente surprise ! Nous cherchions quelque chose qui puisse plaire à tout le monde, y compris à nos amis ou famille qui ne sont pas forcément de grands joueurs de jeux de société, et Hues and Cues a parfaitement rempli cette mission. Ce qui frappe d'abord, c'est sa simplicité déconcertante : les règles s'expliquent littéralement en 2 minutes. Pas de stratégie complexe ou de longues heures de mise en place. On sort le plateau coloré (qui est d'ailleurs très agréable visuellement !) et la partie peut commencer quasi immédiatement. Nous l'avons testé dans différentes configurations, et à chaque fois, l'ambiance était au rendez-vous. C'est fascinant (et souvent très drôle^^) de voir comment chacun interprète les couleurs et les indices donnés. Les débats sur "Est-ce que menthe à l'eau est plus clair ou plus foncé que forêt tropicale ?" ont provoqué pas mal de fous rires ! Le jeu est très interactif et engageant, sans être compétitif au point de gâcher l'atmosphère. Autre point très positif : les parties sont rapides. On peut facilement en enchaîner plusieurs ou simplement en faire une pour animer un apéritif ou une fin de repas. C'est parfait quand on n'a pas forcément 2 heures devant soi. En bref, si vous cherchez un jeu : - Accessible à tous (joueurs confirmés comme novices absolus) - Qui met une super ambiance et provoque des rires - Rapide à expliquer et à jouer - Visuellement sympa ... alors Hues and Cues est fait pour vous! C'est devenu un incontournable de nos soirées. Une vraie belle découverte que je recommande chaudement.

Hues and Cues hit on all cylinders! My 11 year old son requested this for Christmas. We played it twice over the holidays. First with my family (ranging in age from 50 yrs old to 11 yrs old) and it was a hit. Then we brought it to our tough 'game night' friends house and it again passed! Super easy to learn how to play. My two older sons who are color blind could even play to some extent once showed them the general areas of primary colors. Hands down loved by all for ease of play, fun, high quality pieces (although I do wish the player pieces were square, my arthritic hands did slip a few times), just hands down fun and good for all ages (we had a 7 year old play the second time and he enjoyed himself!)
