This bulb is exactly as I'd hoped, and better than I expected. It turns the inexpensive, basic lamp base it's in into something fun and unusual.Both of the photos I'm including were taken of the bulb in the same place and the same ambient room light - the apparent difference in brightness is due to limitations of my camera. One image shows the illumination it puts off, but couldn't capture the etched lines. The other shows the lines clearly but the background is underexposed, so the room looks dark. You can clearly see the lines when it's on, and the light is a soft amber. I wouldn't stare directly at it for long while it's on, but it doesn't put off a harsh glare like a normal bare bulb would.It puts out about the same amount of light as a 40 watt incandescent, so it isn't bright enough to be the main light in a room. But as a warm accent light, it's lovely. It's larger and significantly heavier than a normal bulb. The glass is clear, so it's colorless when turned off and is thick and sturdy. You can still see the lines on the etched acrylic column inside it when it's off, so it's just as interesting to look at when unlit. I love the futuristic look of it contrasted with the vintage windows in the room.

This is the most coolest bulb I have ever seen, has the perfect glow the inner pillar with the design is just amazing, it's nice and big has a clear glass, we just love it.

I like it but when you put it on a dimmer, I’ve tried 3 different ones, the highest setting disappears. So if you want full brightness, you have to unplug the dimmer, and when you want it dim you have to plug it back into the dimmer.

Useful if used as a light FIXTURE (replaces bulb and shade as in the photos). Way too big as a lightbulb. In my opinion, more expensive than it needs to be, but a decent product.

The value is definitely there, upon opening you get the full effect of there size, larger than I anticipated yet pleased.. the color is fabulous it’s very nice to look at and adds a nice ambiance to my room.
