immediately powered up and kicked out 15-16 volts unloaded, in rainy/cloudy weather no less. Connected it to the battery and the trickle charge was enough to power the car back up to the threshold for the key fob to work again after less than an hour. Battery obviously has issues and we plan to get a new one tomorrow, and plan to keep this solar trickle charger hooked up help offset some minor parasitic drain. I see some reviews expecting this to charge a dead battery....but that's never going to happen with a panel this small, and it clearly tells you that before you buy it. It's only meant to keep a healthy battery topped up, not bring and unhealthy one back from the grave. Most of the neg reviews are just people who didn't read.

It seems working, left for two weeks and came back battery could still started without problem. However, it is hard to tell if it is charging or not. The green LED indicates sun light also charging with no distinguish. Why can't they make green LED blink to indicate charging, solid green to just indicate sun light detected? Also the LED is located in a hard to see place, why don't they put LED facing outside, so that users can see it through windshield.

I have used similar solar chargers for years on my lawn equipment. These were added for use on my collector vehicles that are stored in a location without power making a Battery Tender unusable. They have a higher output that the units I use on the lawn equipment and a shorter cord. However, the cord is heavier gage, and the terminal clips are better quality. It will be a few months before I can get the vehicles out again, I am hoping these will supply an adequate charge over the winter. The other brand has worked well on the lawn equipment. Prior to using them I was replacing batteries every spring; we just finished the 3rd year on the current batteries.

Straight forward simple to use. Got it for a vehicle that we leave parked, but not long enough to justify disconnecting the battery or getting a full battery management system. Keeps it "topped off".

I bought this product to charge my truck battery as I have a drain that empties the battery if I park it for a few days. I figured that if I use the solar charger, my truck will get an extra charge to the battery, which will do me good as I drive short distances and the truck is parked most of the day. I used this product religiously, every time I turned off the truck I plugged the charger into the cigarette lighter. I followed the instructions, which said to use the lighter port that illuminated the light on the charger. I started measuring the battery voltage at night after I got home, and again the next morning and I kept a log. Anyway I noticed that this charger made no difference to my battery at all. I used it a different car and had the same result. So it didn't work at all through the cigarette lighter. I hooked the panel directly to the battery one day and measured the voltage and it worked well. It was charging the battery. My advice would be to wire this panel to the batter directly, maybe with a switch to turn it off at night and when the car is running. But, not to bother using it through the cigarette lighter.

It will not charge a dead battery, it is not intended to. It simply keeps a good battery charged on vehicles that sit without use for a long time. The product itself is great, I bought 3 of them. What happened is, the first 2 I bought were delivered but at 2 different prices 🤔so I called Amazon and was told they can't help me. So I ordered 2 more at a discount for buying 2 and I returned the higher priced 1 still new in the box. Did not seem to me to be the most efficient way to handle it but, that is humans! The 2nd problem was that the delivery person left the package OUTSIDE instead of INSIDE the safety of a closed in screen porch 🙄. I live in a ground floor house with no steps but yet the package was left outside in plain view from the street and in any possible weather. They simply ignored my delivery instructions and all forms of common sense and respect. If I delivered, I would put things inside a porch whenever possible just for common sense and respect! I can't understand this way of thinking, can you 🤔???

I don't drive my car as much as I should and therefore have been using a 240v trickle charger to keep it charged but it isn't convenient rolling out an extension lead. This solar charger has solved that problem and is working very well. The cable runs under the seals on a closed door and under the bonnet with no problem.

dopo averlo provato qualche giorno, per tenere in vita la mia vecchia batteria dell'auto (di quelle costose fatte per essere continuamente caricate) ho deciso di prenderne subito un'altro!! In pratica il pannello lo danno per 10 watt, ovvero 700-800 milliampere , il voltaggio a vuoto si aggira sui 19 volt, con il carico arriva sui 14 circa, nel mio caso ho un consumo fisso intorno ai 400-500 milliampere (dovuto anche all'antifurto tracker gps) quindi se ho la batteria in perfetta forma (quasi mai visto che l'auto fa pochi chilometri e sta ferma per 1 settimana) si riesce a non rimanere a piedi....ovvero non si carica ne si scarica...ma ricordiamoci che adesso il sole e' molto forte!! e quindi abbiamo quei 10 watt detti belli pieni. Prendendone due....collegati in parallelo, mi assicuro di avere un 1500Mha in uscita verso la batteria quindi, almeno 1 ampere per la ricarica della stessa, anche nei giorni di meno luminosita ho abbastanza carica di mantenimento e una leggera ricarica. Prodotto promosso al 100% molto ben fatto anche nei collegamenti , e ovviamente Amazon sempre veloce e precisa.
