TLC NAND for QLC price
I was expecting this drive to be qlc, given its price to capacity, but it turns out it is TLC, a substantially higher quality type of NAND.This makes it faster and more durable over time, at the expense of capacity or price, but this seems to be cheap and a decent size regardless. Its a data drive so its widely compatible and slim enough to fit most laptops that will accept a 2.5" data drive.

good sata drive
better than a mechanical drive. it's only SATA but more than enough to run windows. I purchased this to replace a mechanical hard drive on a very old laptop. I was able to fit it into the case of the laptop and install windows. It's only sata so around 550mb/s but more than enough for an ageing laptop. after i got everything installed the bottleneck on the laptop went from a slow hard drive to the 6th gen intel cpu thats holding it back. at a low discounted price this was an easy purchase to get an old laptop working at a useable condition until I can just replace the whole thing.

Cheap, flexible storage
I have a number of Kioxia micro SD cards for my drone and DSLR and I've had no issues with any of them so I was happy to buy a Kioxia SSD.I bought the drive to speed up my old laptop but it's not just suitable for that I've also used an SSD as additional storage by putting it in a USB case.I used a USB adaptor to prepare the drive and create a fresh Windows installation before copying the important files to the new drive but I could have simply cloned the original drive, or partition, to the new drive using free software available from Clonezilla, Macrium or Acronis. It gets more complicated if the new driver is smaller than the original drive but that can usually be overcome by resizing and copying the partition. The new SSD drive is so much faster than the original HDD.. I realise that this isn't the fastest SSD available but it suits my requirements at a price I was willing to pay. Other than being faster, a SSD uses less power, produces no noise and less heat. The original drive can be kept as a backup and installed into a USB case for a fiver.

It is OK
Cheapish, both in price and performance. I have been a long term user of Integral P series ssd and thought to give Kioxia a try.It works, however I don’t know for how long.Replaced a hdd in an iMac 4k 2017, as result it boots faster than a spinning hdd. As to file transfer SPEED, while using it with Ventura OS, It is the combination of both the latest Mac OS (very very snappy) and use of a ssd, makes it appear to transfer faster then Mojave OS.FINALLY REMEMBER THAT TRIM NEEDS TO BE ENABLED IN TERMINAL FOR 3RD PARTY SSDS ON MAC.

Very good on random reads, throughput less so.
I bought this as a replacement for the Toshiba TR-200 that I have been using for a couple of years, and did an outstanding job. By reading the Kioxia blurb I was under the impression this was a continuation of the TR-200 range under the Kioxia name, but alas this SDD, behaves quite differently. It has about 20% less throughput than the Toshiba predecessor but is 40 to 60 % faster on random reads.Since I am using this in a personal computer rather than a server, this is fine, a noticeable improvement in fact and combined with the very keen price on the 480GB part, I am overall very happy.

Surprisingly very good.
So I bought this drive feeling a little unsure as didn't recognise the brand so was worried its a cheap clone that will be super slow.....it came with everything needed to install its been very reliable and speed wise it really is good ill definitely buy another for any more laptops I repair

For the price it's a good storage solution
The Kioxia EXCERIA 480 GB 2.5 Inch SSD isn't going to compete with the more expensive brands, you do get what you pay for in terms of speed and efficiency, but for £40 at time of writing, this makes an excellent additional external storage solution for the Xbox Series X.The read/write speed is below that of my Sandisk drives but only slightly and for running Xbox One games on my Series X (you can't run Series X native games from it, sadly) it's a lot faster than a mechanical USB drive if you use a USB 3 enclosure for it. It also needs to be allocated before formatting if you're going to use it on a PC, so you'll need to use Disk Manager (just type Disk Manager in the search box on Windows) to allocate the drive then format.

Solid
I've bought several of these when the were low priced because they are in my opinion the best bang for buck ssd. No problems with reliability or speed.
User
Good price
Switched the hard drive in my old laptop for this SSD, its now much more responsive and runs games faster
User
Soddisfatto!!!
Ho voluto provarlo tra i vari brand, è sostanzialmente un Toshiba e non è neppure un Made in China (almeno al momento). Prestazioni e qualità dei materiali allineati al prezzo.
