GATSBY MOVING RUBBER COOL WET Hair Wax, 80g/2.8oz

I have tried to find a decent hair product and on my near endless quest I have bumped into GATSBY a couple of times. I was tired of hair gels all the time leaving my hair crunchy and other products leaving it excessively greasy. This specific one as I have tried a few others of theirs is my hair product now so I always have one and a spare just in case I run out. It does not leave your hair looking dry nor damp a happy medium of preserving more or less that just combed/brushed look. It indeed can be restyled as advertised and fixed. Does no weight my hair down and is not overbearingly fragrant so they have earned my loyalty for making such a excellent product. I even tried a few of my older products and styled my hair the same way and there was just no comparison. I would say give GATSBY a try and specifically give cool wet a chance as it is slightly different than there other products but they all more or less fit their descriptions regarding use as the website says. I hope they make more products for people with shorter hair though. Also for disclosure I have mildly ethnic hair really just thickish hair its thinned out.

I really love using this Gatsby cool wet hair gel. It makes styling my hair very easy and it keeps it firm and controllable all day long. It is priced very well. It is a very affordable Japanese brand which means it is high quality. My only reason why it is not a perfect five star is that the scent that they put in? It is very strong and it can be smelled all over my bedroom. Other than that. It is a very good gel that I highly recommend.

I purchased this specifically to get the wet hair look when I desired that look. It is very different in texture than the other Gatsby rubber hair waxes. This one reminds my wife of a product called Dippity-do so it is more like a semi-liquid gel than a wax. It actually does what it is designed to do. It works and looks better on mid-length to short hair but does not have as strong a hold as the wax. I am the only one that uses it in our household and my hairstyle is more on the short side. I use other version of Gatsby as my hair grows and if I want to create a different look. It is great stuff and lasts a long time since it requires very little to work well. In addition, my hair does not feel like a bunch of spikes to the touch. I also like the mild smell since it does not dominate or conflict with any colognes or after shaves.

This is the exact kind of product I have been looking for, very loose hold that maintains the wet look all day long. Washes right out in the shower, excellent product. Just bought 3 more.

Pros: easy to apply and not as sticky as other waxes, before or after the applications. It acts more like a mousse than a standard (strong) wax. All waxes leave hair with a sticky feeling, but this is more on the gentler end. No problem to wash off. Cons: might be a little shiny in order to achieve the wet look, but it won't be anything close to what you'll get out of a gel. I personally didn't notice much of a difference, compared to other brands, Gatsby or otherwise. Personally, I ended up preferring the Gatsby Spiky Edge because it's much stronger and if you've choosing a wax over a gel, you probably want something that holds up well. Note: I've got Asian hair which is thicker, so if you've got thinner hair, this product might be sufficiently strong for you.

as you can see i like the product and what it helps me achieve in terms of my hairstyle and overall look and even the texture of my hair, i like the wet fresh out of the shower look and this is the ONLY gel that keeps it like that, even after my 10 hour overnight work shift and it doesn’t crunch up at alllllll, and i’ve tried A LOT of hair gels that advertise the same promise but they all dry up and crunch up. it’s also easy to work into your hair and does as advertised, the ONLY downside is just the small amount of product that’s available, i hope they take this into consideration and make a larger size container for more product. that’s the ONLY thing making me think twice about purchasing more of it, i finished these two very small containers in about 2 weeks or less, other than that the product works well and does as they advertise it!

I was looking for something exactly like this one. I just recently cut my long long hair to go for the pixie style. But my new short hair would get "puffy" and it would look like a typical old lady style (which I am not). I tried several other brands' waxes and leave-in conditioner. The wax was too heavy and the leave-in was not enough. This product is perfect now that I learned the right amount to apply. It tames down my puff without giving me the look that I have gel on. This product does not leave any residue like the traditional gels and it does not leave the hair hard like traditional gels. And as it indicates, it allows you to re-style.

I originally purchased this product while vacationing in Japan. I bought a small container of it as I forgot to bring some hair gel with me. I was happy to see I could order more on Amazon. This is great as it doesn’t leave your hair greasy or sticky. I would highly recommend it
